Critic Reviews for PAW Patrol World

PAW Patrol World provides a 3D adventure meant for preschool kids who enjoy the franchise or just want a simple game to play. Though it can be repetitive and won't pose a challenge to even younger gamers, its open world mechanics and side missions-not to mention all the collectables-still leave room for plenty of enjoyment.

You play in the world of the TV show in a way that makes this a gateway to the wider world of (mostly quality) video games. As a parent I sometimes need to make compromises. If my kids want to play the cop dog game instead of Roblox, I'll chalk it up as a win.

While I can appreciate the direction of making PAW Patrol World an open world adventure, there just isn’t a lot going on for it. I loved the idea that it sold me on with it being a co-op adventure and working together with unique abilities… it’s just unfortunate that there’s nothing unique about the gameplay at all. There are no different mini-games or activities that require different thinking or gameplay, it’s just always the same bland QTE.

However, it also leaves a lot to be desired in that its graphics are certainly not impressive by any means and its overall gameplay is incredibly simple and repetitive, even for its target audience. At times, many things feel confusingly implemented and the option for co-op feels a bit like an afterthought. With all that being said, it is still potentially worth giving a chance as there is a lot going on for PAW Patrol World that will help introduce young children to modern gaming in a way that not many other games like it can, however, anyone over the age of the target audience is likely to be unimpressed and quickly bored.

If you’re searching for a game that can entertain a 4-year-old and their adult counterpart, Paw Patrol World is the answer. It’s a delightful journey that speaks to the hearts of both the youngest and the young at heart, reminding us that sometimes, the most enjoyable adventures are those we share with our little heroes.

Paw Patrol World is my favourite Paw Patrol game yet. It's bigger, better looking and more interesting than any prior installment I've played in this series. Children will have a blast getting lost in the game's warm and inviting open-world hubs, playing as their favourite pup and enjoying a lighthearted story full of funny moments.

Seen as a whole, however, we would have liked - precisely because the brand is so well known - a little more love for the license, especially in the level of detail and the variety of animations as well as the lip sync of the German voice acting. Kids from the age of 7 or with more game experience will also complain about the overall hardly challenging level of difficulty as well as the main missions, which are a bit too repetitive in terms of structure. However, 4- to 6-year-olds should be less bothered by this. They have a lot of fun with "Paw Patrol World". Or as one of our testers would say: "Dad, this game is really great!"
