Tequila Works' latest skates by with just enough nuance & personality to keep engagement from freezing over, but its derivative qualities could tempt some into giving it the cold shoulder.

A warm adventure that gets lost due to rigid controls and lack of variety in the campaign.

Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a very simple game, yet it has a lot of charm thanks to its personal narrative that's easy to relate to. Undoubtedly, the connection between Nunu and Willump is the heart of the adventure. While the puzzles are fun and intriguing, it's regrettable that both the platforming and combat are very monotonous. Depth is noticeably lacking in most of its systems.

Riot Forge adds one more point in its crusade to expand the League of Legends universe with a very interesting adventure located in that universe and that may well not be and would still be a good title. In an era in which adventures seem to be scarce and good be the exclusive heritage of great sagas like Zelda, or memories like Banjo Kazzoie, new protagonists for the genre are always welcome, Song of Nunu is one of them.

Song Of Nunu: A League Of Legends Story is a simple game with excellent storytelling and truly endearing characters. Willump and Nunu's story and adventure will warm your heart even in the icy regions of its setting. It's a cinematic, Pixar-like experience that shouldn't be missed by adventure fans or anyone looking to get a new game for their young kid.

While I enjoyed my time with Song of Nunu, I did have a few small gripes. I wasn’t a fan of the stealth sequences; not that they were inherently bad I just am not a fan of forced stealth in games and wish it would go away. I would have liked some more time with a few of the side characters all of which come from LoL but that’s simply because I am a fan. What I really can’t wait for is the team to make a game on the Noxus Empire, specifically Darius. Oh man, he’s in the forthcoming fighting game but I really want a solo game to use ‘dunkmaster’ Darius. But I digress, as a fan of League of Legends this game is really a no brainer, but for non-fans looking for a fun, action-adventure title then you should look no further than The Song of Nunu.

Overall Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is an excellent single player game. It’s over in around 8 hours or slightly more depending on your playstyle and speed. There is a tad bit extra longevity for completionists who will have to reload specific chapters to get all the collectible murals and lore entries. This is a game that I can highly recommend. Riot Forge and Tequila Works have created an instant classic and a worthy addition to the League of Legends franchise series of games.

Song of Nunu offers a unique and immersive experience in the world of Runeterra. The game has a captivating story, a lovable duo of protagonists, a diverse and rich setting, fun and varied gameplay, a beautiful and expressive art style, and a memorable and fitting soundtrack. While it suffers from some uninspired puzzles and level designs, it is a must-play for fans of League of Legends and for newcomers to the franchise alike.

While Song of Nunu tells a story set in a pre-established League of Legends universe, players who have never played the MOBA won't be lost in this magical journey. There are some issues throughout the game including glitches and framerate, but the musical score and voice acting is superb. A healthy amount of accessibility options also helps to ensure Song of Nunu shines for all gamers. It won't change the landscape of the League of Legends brand, but it does elevate and diversify, bringing something non-fans and fans alike can enjoy!

Inspired by Pixar/Disney films, The Last Guardian or even Ico productions, Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a very satisfying game, endowed with a pleasant campaign, a journey made in measures between a human and a Yeti. It doesn't reach the magnitude and depth in gameplay of the productions it is inspired by, but Tequila Works has here a work worthy of being played and experienced by those who want to enjoy an adventure that is also a sum of puzzles, combats and platform passages.

A new League of Legends spin-off that tells a story of friendship through well-established gameplay but lacking any particular creative flourishes. The most "Disney-esque" of Riot Forge's products to date, it is a game unsuited to discerning palates or experienced players, but it can become an excellent pastime for younger audiences or for those who crave something well-told but undemanding.

Song of Nunu is a game that everyone can enjoy, whether you've played League of Legends or not, meaning you don't need to have any knowledge of Runeterra. Song of Nunu is enough on its own, and I dare say that this is the best game in this universe to date. As not every game is perfect, there are points that could be better elaborated, but they are very small compared to the incredible adventure we experienced alongside Nunu and Willump. As a certain snowman would say, Song of Nunu is a warm hug for everyone who passes by.
