Critic Reviews for Mighty Gunvolt Burst
I can see myself picking up Mighty Gunvolt Burst every now and then, especially since it's so easy to do on the Switch. If Inti Creates goes the way of DLC or a full sequel where the universes are flipped, I'm already in. They clearly still have it while Capcom and Comcept struggle to get a firm hold on the genre.
A game that could have been much better with a little more time/resources on its development, but is not enought to get us satisfied.

Old skool gameplay with some new style twists, Mighty Gunvolt Burst is a more accessible slice of nostalgia style gaming.
Mighty Gunvolt Burst is everything that Mighty No. 9 should've been last year. Its excellent retro style, deep customization features, and rewarding progression system pave the way for a fast-paced, fulfilling experience.
Mighty Gunvolt Burst is exactly what I wanted it to be. A proper clone of a genre I still love to this day, with enough new to make it feel modern. The platforming is tight, the challenge is solid, and everything just feels good. I grew up loving these games, and while I am not quite as skilled as I used to be, I still enjoy the challenge they deliver.
Might Gunvolt Burst builds on its predecessor and easily overcomes it, thanks to its use of creative and fun gameplay mechanics, a rich visual environment and an overall quality production that will certainly appeal to fans of retro-looking action games.

All told, Mighty Gunvolt Burst improves on the original Mighty Gunvolt in just about every conceivable way, and stands as a worthy successor to the classic Mega Man series. If ever a modern game were worthy of being called Mega Man 11, this would be it; it's perfectly transplanted that classic run ‘n' gun gameplay while adding a wealth of new additions and elements to keep you engaged for a long time. Though these new elements are a little rough around the edges, they nonetheless add a lot of value to the package and the flexible nature of the game allows you to completely ignore them if you so choose. We certainly give Mighty Gunvolt Burst a strong recommendation; for anyone looking for a meaty and high-quality retro title, look no further than this.
