Critic Reviews for Citadel: Forged With Fire

A MMORPG with an interesting approach but a pretty conventional execution. If you are fan of spells, magic creatures and broomstick flights, Citadel: Forged With Fire is the invitation letter to a magic world you've been waiting for.

An very interesting MMORPG in its approach but short in its execution. Ideal for magic lovers, but the rest will find it devoid of emotion. It has many technical errors and it brings nothing really new to the genre beyond the use of magic for everything.

I didn’t mind Citadel. It was the first of its style that I have ever actually played. I now realize the open world sandbox “do whatever you want” kind of games are not really for me, but I can easily see fans of this genre can have some fun here even with the shallow quest system, some clunky controls and the technical issues.

Citadel: Forged With Fire has an interesting, even fun, premise lurking through some of the rough edges. A game like this is most fun when played with others, especially when you consider that on most servers, the things you build will be available for all players on that server to see. The lack of much in the way of content, though, means players are left to their own devices and imagination when it comes to interesting things to see and do. Still, if combining Minecraft, ARK, and Harry Potter-inspired elements in a cauldron sounds appealing, then by all means grab a friend (or 49) and hop in.

Citadel: Forged with Fire is a game that manages to strike powerfully at the impulse to go spend some time in nature. The wild life are fun to watch from a distance, the water lapping on the shores of the lakes and oceans feel calming in the same way lounging at a beach in life can be, and drifting through the skies on the wings of flight potions and fast brooms is an experience that’s hard to find fault with.
