Astro Bot Rescue Mission Reviews
To me, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is platforming at its finest, it's fun, looks fantastic and is challenging enough to keep you coming back for more. I can't recommend Astro Bot highly enough, I just hope this is the start of more quality content for PlayStation VR.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission brings a genuinely new perspective to the platform genre.
Was Astro Bot Rescue Mission on your radar? No? Me neither, but you ought to put it on there right away. This is arguably PSVR's biggest must-have game experience and a phenomenally good VR platform game.
Astro Bot is a for VR platforming instant classic. In some ways, it is to virtual reality what Mario 64 was to 3D, as it uses a new technology to push new boundaries in the genre. We would have loved for it to last a bit longer though !

Astro Bot Robot Rescue is more than an extension of flat screen platforming, it is the next evolutionary step that all family members will enjoy.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission neatly unfolds platforming's trick and tropes with immunity from the traditional hazards of virtual reality. Immersed in Astro Bot's kinetic charm and engaged by its clever novelties, you're left admiring the medium's strengths rather than cursing its limitations. Astro Bot is a treasure for PlayStation VR enthusiasts.
Astro Bot is an excellent platformer with great motion controls, and its execution in virtual reality creates something fresh in a well-worn genre
A charming hero in a fantastic platformer, which for at least 5 hours will provide you with the highest quality gameplay and change the perception of the genre. The title is mandatory for every PS VR owner.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission is simply, amazing — a pure joy and a wonder that is a must play for all PSVR owners.
Not only is it the best platformer on the PSVR, it's also good enough to rival some of the recent releases on modern consoles. It's a fun, friendly, and charming title that will make you 'ooh' and 'ahh' for the game's duration.
Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is not just a good VR game. It is a really good platformer.

Don't be fooled by its childish name and seemingly simple presentation: Astro Bot Rescue Mission is by far the best game you can buy for PlayStation VR right now. The game looks beautifully colorful, is packed with memorable VR moments, and with the bots has perhaps the most adorable figures in the history of the game industry in the house. The first real PSVR killer has arrived, folks!

Though the play room is where it's at its most pure, that sense of playfulness runs through the entirety of Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, from its creative level design and innovative use of VR to its cute characters, awe-inspiring environments, and subtle dose of black humour. Pure, joyful escapism doesn't get much better than this.
Moss previously showed players that PSVR experiences didn't have to necessarily be first person only and Astro Bot Rescue Mission exemplifies this mentality, taking things one step further than the more diorama-esque levels of the aforementioned title by placing players directly inside the levels themselves.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission feels like a greatest hits of platformers from a bygone era. The stunning implementation of PSVR truly elevates the game to a magical place. I really can't overstate just how much you need to play it for yourself.
It’s fair to say that few other games have enchanted me this year as much as this platformer.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission is another reason why you should own a PSVR, and a must play if you already have one.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers a level of interactivity and polish that has not yet been seen on the PSVR platform. It is quite clear that the game was built specifically for VR, and in so doing was obviously a labour of love for Japan Studio. Quite simply, the game offers the best implementation of PSVR yet seen on the platform. It features solid and refined gameplay and crisp Pixar-Like visuals; all of which are bundled together in a title with so much charm, character and charisma, that it would be a travesty not to experience. Without a doubt, the game is a true PSVR classic.
I don't know whether the lack of conversation about the game is due to the chilled reception of VR in 2018 or too many other big games launching this month. Don't let either distract you from this gem. Astro Bot is a beautiful world and I encourage everybody to visit.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission is the best example of traditional video game mechanics executed in VR yet, amplifying and broadening 3D platforming to a whole new platform. The fundamentals, while nothing too unique, are consistently strong, allowing for the great VR mechanics and interactions to be built upon them. The wonderful tone and feel of Astro Bot’s levels paired with their thoughtful design makes it a joy throughout. Rescue Mission is directly designed around VR, while being fully featured and very high-quality, making it one of the very best VR games yet and an excellent example of the possibilities of virtual reality.
