I challenge anyone to say that Death Stranding is a walking simulator or that the video game medium is not as expressive as cinema and once again I invite you to get closer to this work.

Death Stranding screams Hideo Kojima in every single detail. If you are looking for a journey and an experience, something that you will hold dear for quite sometime, this is the game you have been waiting for. It may lack some variety in the quest design, but the asynchronous multiplayer and the depth of the storytelling are captivating.

Death Stranding will not be for everybody. It seems meticulously engineered for a pretty specific kind of nerd. My wife, for example, loves this game, and when she loves a game, she dumps hundreds of hours into it. Me? I merely like this game

[PC] Death Stranding is a must have on PC as it was on PS4, now unlocking bold new features such as 60+ fps even on less performing machines.

This could very well be your Game of the Year, and with a game as “connected” and polarising as Death Stranding, it will no doubt keep us talking, theorising and speculating for years to come, and that is truly something spectacular.

Death Stranding is Kojima´s most personal game. A complex and emotional work of art, which is not adequate for everyone because of the slow pace and the unusual gameplay. But once you get it, it´s something you will never forget.

Death Stranding is one of those special games that comes out from time to time. Hideo Kojima shows that he's a great storyteller, but he also knows how to create a solid and attractive gameplay. It may not appeal to everyone, but it's certainly one of those games that have to play once in your life.

Death Stranding is an outstanding title that ended up blowing away the expectations I wasn’t even aware of. For an auteur like Hideo Kojima, that sounds like an unequivocal success.

Death Stranding surely is a fresh shock to the open world game design choice. Some of the obvious but fresh visual concepts blend into the story very well. The actors are also the highlight of the game’s entire vibe and atmosphere. The player will be very attached with the journey experience of the main character, who has to endure and truly be rewarded with the best expected outcome like as if you’re really completing a job. You’ll get the fullest single player experience and never get bored with some of the light multiplayer elements of other players playing the same game but act as a pseudo NPC of your universe. Some of the side missions are basically delivering items from point A to B but the main story is so great that they’re all forgiven. While the trend of open world games somewhat felt over saturated but this was a new portal for better opportunities to come with it’s core design. Once you play this game, it will last in your heart for a long time.

It's hard to pin down exactly what makes Death Stranding work in my mind, but a masterful presentation, stunning open world, and captivating characters contribute to one of this generation’s most unforgettable games, for better or worse.

Death Stranding does exactly what it set out to do - create an experience like nothing else on the market that is fresh and extremely thought provoking. It is one of the most ambitious titles I have ever played through. The game knows exactly what it is, and doesn't try to change that. Although the gameplay may fall short for some, Death Stranding is easily one of the most striking titles I have played in years, and is one I believe should be experienced by all.

Death Stranding is a remarkable experience. Full stop. It's the first game I've played where everything from the story to the gameplay work together as a truly cohesive product.

Death Stranding is dense, complex, and powerful, steadfast in its belief in the power of love and hope when faced with overwhelming adversity.

This is one of the rare times I wish Hideo Kojima had created a lengthy film or a series instead of a video game. At least then people might not approach it with trepidation or with derision. You know how it goes: "Oh, it's a video game. There's no way it can be that good."

Death Stranding is an ambitious game, filled with so many different mechanics and ideas that almost always work well together. The story and acting is fantastic, and its visuals are a thing of beauty, not to mention the powerful soundtrack.

It's dull yet vibrant, clever but convoluted, thrilling and idling, beautiful and grim. It swings between supremely satisfying and maddeningly frustrating, and though it's trite to say it, it isn't a game made for everyone.

Hideo Kojima's first post-Konami game is deeply weird and a tad scattershot, but rarely less than compelling and absolutely unforgettable

Death Stranding came out in 2019 for the PS4, but the PC port looks to become the definitive version of the game thanks to improvements that make it playable across any type of machine. It's also, oddly enough, more relevant than ever.

In Death Stranding complex themes of life and death, love and loneliness are mixed with a slow meditative and at the same time intense gameplay, where climbing the mountain slopes surrounded by enemies causes incredible experiences. The story of Sam Porter's journey is the most emotional, incredible and powerful we've seen in the last few years. And of course, the amazing acting of Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen and other cult actors will not leave anyone indifferent.
