SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated Reviews
Rehydrated is a wonderful remake of an incredibly fun game. The humor and joyful platforming will have you smiling ear to ear, even if the game has more than a few technical problems.
SpongeBob: SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated sinks under its reverence to nostalgia.
SpongeBob Rehydrated is a vibrant remake of a much loved PS2 platformer. It's a little rough around the edges, but it's a solid effort that brings back a type of game that's all too rare on modern machines. The simple fun of collecting, bashing enemies, and exploring a beloved location is very much here, and fans young and old will get a kick out of this underwater excursion.
Ultimately, SpongeBob fanatics and hardcore platforming fans won't want to miss this release, but otherwise, you need not rush out to get it.
Battle for Bikini Bottom, despite offering a fair bit of fun, is a testament of antiquated design and, for better or worse, feels entirely like the game you remember from your childhood. There’s certainly a fun afternoon to be had ruining Plankton’s plot to rule Bikini Bottom while spotting the show’s many references with a keen eye, though ultimately Rehydrated is D.O.A.—dry on arrival.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a nostalgia-filled time machine that brings back the golden age of the license while adding a fresh coat of paint.
Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated isn’t the most complex or challenging platformer in existence but offers enough variety to still be as F.U.N as it was in 2003.
Nostalgia and a new paint job aren't enough to save you from the dull, frustrating, and wonky experience that is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated.
It's been a long time since I’ve played a great licensed game, but Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a joy to play.
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a masterful re-up of a genuinely fun game that will appeal to old fans and newcomers alike.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a very faithful remake of a beloved classic 3D platformer. Fans of the original game will love how they can replay this brilliant adventure with updated visuals that match their nostalgic memories, new gamers will love the playfulness and entertaining gameplay which still holds up today. Despite not adding anything new to the actual main story, the additional co-op Horde Mode allows you and one other to prolong the gameplay and fight against Robo Squidward, the boss which was cut from the original game. Sure, the game does get frustrating and annoying at times, with it’s early 2000’s design and mechanics, but it makes up for this with all of its charm and the addictive gameplay.
SpongeBob and his fellow friends are in for an 8th gen remake of a good old early 2000s title. The game is filled with tons of fun. Gameplay-wise and story-wise, you're in for something great. BFBB remake is a great looking title too but the game suffers from lots of loading screens, bugs and game breaking glitches. With technical issues being black sheep of the game's dawn side, Which are so disappointing for an 8th gen remake, the boring multiplayer comes into play! With all being said and done, BFBB Rehydrated is so fun to play. Having a little kid or little brother/sister, let them enjoy this game. If you're a big fan of SpongeBob's adventures, give this game a go. You're gonna enjoy the hell out if it!

It's fair to say Battle for Bikini Bottom was hardly a revelation back in 2003 and it's definitely not one now, even with the cult popularity the original has gained due to the speedrunning community.
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated definitely shows its age in this "remake". It has a weirdly structured story, a few poor boss fights, some bizarre bugs, and some other elements that could've used some proper touch-ups. That said, it still delivers on being a fun and easily accessible platformer that captures the heart and soul of the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a welcome return for a licensed platforming great. It's wonderfully faithful to the original release while ensuring it has the visual fidelity to stand alongside modern adventures in the genre. While I would have loved an expansion of its levels and a more robust multiplayer offering, this is a remake I believe is essential for platforming fans.
A good remake with some extra. A little bit clumsy in some part, but funny and perfect for SpongeBob fans.

A fresh coat of paint can't disguise the fact that SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is just a remake of an unremarkable platformer that hasn't exactly aged well.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, in addition to a really long title, is a familiar platform with certain items to collect. Completely renovated and with added content, it is a perfect game for this summer. Its reduced price makes the set even more appetizing.

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was never an exceptional platformer - we can even accuse it of being generic - and that remains in its version Rehydrated. What also does not change in this remake is that it is a project that makes good use of its source material. It also looks better with much needed graphical upgrades. A good remake for a decent game.
