The Astronauts are clearly a talented group of developers, as what they’ve created so far in Witchfire is deeply engaging, creative, and unique.
Diablo Immortal has taken the core of the game, the loot hunting and the adrenaline rush of the drop, and put a price tag on it.
As a devoted Dungeons and Dragons player, I can respect Dark Alliance for attempting to bridge the tabletop experience and the virtual plane. Unfortunately, the game is lackluster and has more flaws than redeemable qualities.
If you find yourself itching for some more Turtle beat-em up content after exhausting everything from Shredder’s Revenge and the Cowabunga Collection, Wrath of the Mutants provides a brief serving that’s simply more flashy and less fun.
If you hope to see the series’ campaign design feel like it’s not simply going through the motions, rehashing past glories and not half-baking potential new ideas, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will leave you wanting.
Blightbound is a game that looks like it would be a lot of fun on paper or in trailers, but in execution the game falls flat.
Outriders overstays its welcome with gameplay that goes from being really fun, to overly generic and boring without introducing many changes to its formula
Unfortunately, Godfall will become an example of what happens to a game when you rush it, knowing that it isn’t ready for market.
I don’t know how it’s possible, but I love and hate this game all at once.
The Falconeer flies its own path, hampered by sometimes frustrating controls, unforgiving difficulty and a simplistic mission structure.
I wish Skull and Bones was the pirate extravaganza it could and should have been. But other than some fleeting ship combat, if you want to get the real pirate experience, look elsewhere.
FOBIA – St. Dinfna Hotel is still worth a look if you truly enjoy survival horror titles; just don’t expect to be surprised as it’s a journey you’ve likely taken before under better circumstances.
Overall KINGDOM of the DEAD is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s very clear the team at Dirigo have a passion for classic first-person shooters.
Kinetic Edge is a basic experience that does not rise to the top of the “gauntlet” style of titles currently out there in the market.
While the opening act of Twin Mirror sets up a rather strong and intriguing front, it falls short quickly with its underwhelming protagonist, lack of emotion between some of the main characters, and an anti-climatic conclusion.
My best recommendation is to wait on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
The Timberland did a fantastic job at grasping my initial attention to uncover its dark secrets, but I felt quite relieved to check out as soon as I could.
Lost Wing is a simple game that takes the genre that is rather dull and adds a ton of flare.
Wild Card Football is an interesting attempt in the return of arcade football, although it too often feels like a half step.
The search for Paradise is without question a beautiful one, both visually and narrative-wise, but that’s not to say it doesn’t hit rough patches along the way.
