Deathloop is never anything less than absolute edge-of-your-seat gaming
Part I is like the in-game axe upgraded with a roll of tape and a pair of scissors. Obviously, the original item was massively bloody capable already—of near perfect design in form and function. Even still, this thing has now somehow become waaay sharper than any sane person could have imagined. Give it even half a chance to get a piece of you, and it’s gonna cut deep.
Smash Bros Ultimate really is the ultimate Switch game and one that every self-respecting Nintendo fan should play
Nier is an affecting game that entertains you but also makes you question your beliefs about who is the hero and the villain.
It's impeccably designed, masterfully executed and an absolute must-play.
Now that The Witcher 3 is on Switch, there's no reason that every other game in existence isn't. I love The Witcher 3 and on Switch, I love it even more.
It's hard to come up with any real negatives for Zombie Army 4. It has so much on offer, it plays so well and it is incredible amounts of fun that if you even have a passing fancy for video games, you'll likely have a great time.
INSIDE is an absolutely incredible achievement in art, design and storytelling and comes highly recommended for any Switch ower’s library
Pillars of Eternity on Switch is my favourite way to play the game and it's yet another great reason to own a Switch.
Bungie has clearly worked to reinvigorate Destiny 2 and Shadowkeep is a great step in the right direction.
Minecraft Dungeons is a must-play and uniquely perfect game for the strange times we find ourselves in.
PGA Tour 2K21 is by far the best golf game ever and easily one of the best, most polished and competent games released in 2020.
If you’re a Switch owner and an RPG or tabletop fan, there is absolutely no reason for you to not own Hand of Fate 2. It’s a truly exceptional title that shines even brighter on Nintendo’s console.
In a market flooded with first and third-person-shooters, games that play it safe and game after game after game that could be a reskinned version of the one before, Pillars of Eternity 2 is a big, beautiful breath of fresh air.
Metro Exodus drops you into an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic playground and gives you just enough tools to, maybe, make it out alive.
Mortal Kombat 11 is another brilliant entry in a franchise that has been on an upward trajectory for the last few games
If you liked Hotline Miami, prepare to fall in love with Katana Zero. Imbued with a hard-edged 1980s aesthetic, it offers players a dense, well-written story coupled with fast-paced, blood-soaked action that’s rewarding and satisfying.
This is the Metroidvania we’ve all been waiting for. If you’ve never played Metroidvanias, this is an easy entry point (example: me). If you have, you’ll adore its mechanics, absurdities, and inexplicable moments.
I haven’t shouted, cheered, or laughed this much at a point and click adventure in a very, very long time.
While the controls aren’t perfect, they work well enough so I can’t complain about them. My one complaint is about load times. As you transition from scene to scene, it can take quite a while for the game to load. It’s a shame as it really slows down what’s already a fairly glacially paced title. Hopefully, a future update can address this.
