PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs Reviews
We would only ever recommend Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs to Pac-Man diehards at its launch price point. In fact, given the fate of its Pac-Man 99 forebear, we would be hesitant to open our wallets for it at all, because we doubt it will have much longevity if it isn't eventually made free-to-play. Though it introduces a cool idea or two, multiplayer Pac-Man was done better by its predecessors and, as it stands, its price tag is tough to justify.
PAC-MAN, the classic, is impeccable. Adding multiplayer concepts through the prism of Battle Royale is a great idea. However, PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs proves that not even this mix has a guarantee of success if you don't take care of the content offered. Without a life of its own, the tribute is a nice memory, but it doesn't go much further than that.

With Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs Namco we are offered a new Pac-Man that, although it is 100% faithful to the original, implements mechanics that make it a very interesting option to take into account, offering us a very fun title to Play it both “alone” and with friends online. And I say “solitude”, since it is a battle royale, you have to play no matter what against other players, without a doubt, a good way to meet other followers of the popular comecocos on any system/support, since the game It has a crossplay function between platforms (an option that we can activate or deactivate at will from the “options” menu). If you want to have a fun time (of course, exclusively online) Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs is a very good option, but keep in mind that to be able to play it you will require, yes or yes, both a connection online as a subscription to PSN Plus, otherwise, you will have an unplayable title, in my opinion, a great handicap since not everyone is willing to pay for an online membership. As for the length of the game, this will be directly proportional to how much we like the old Pac-Man, so keep this in mind when picking it up.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs successfully manages to put a new twist on classic Pac-Man gameplay, with ideas like invading other players' mazes that make it a fresh experience. The problem is that it arrives sparse with content and without offline modes, which shorten the party more than expected.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle is a nice experiment that turns an iconic saga into a battle royale, even if some gameplay mechanics don't fit well with Tōru Iwatani's original concept.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle is an interesting way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of everyone's favorite yellow muncher, but the asking price and lack of content might turn off some interested fans. However, with some added updates and patches, it has the potential to be one of the more engaging battle royale titles.
PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle is a remarkably entertaining modern twist on what is perhaps the most beloved game of all time. This game manages to retain the fun of old school PAC-MAN, while adding in an extra layer of tension and strategy to the mix by letting players invade each other's games. Brilliant idea, and fun game.
Battle royale comes for Pac-Man.
Offering a refreshing take on the classic character, PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle Chomp Champs is a fun game with just the right amount of competitiveness. Unfortunately, its potential is undermined by poor online performance, in addition to little attention directed to production and content. Still, we have a solid battle royale with some potential to become interesting beyond fans of the classic franchise.

Pac-Man: Mega Tunnel Battle is a unique approach to turning the Pac-Man formula into a battle royal experience. I think the way it was handled works for this type of game as you independently work on getting high scores while invading other’s boards to rob opponents of possible points. Still, it loses its charm so quickly, given that the online community doesn’t seem to want to lean into the new systems while they focus on clearing their boards in simple Pac-Man fashion.
