Dark Souls III certainly lives up to the brutal difficultly levels of its predecessors. It constantly gets you to push your boundaries as you're encouraged to press deeper in each run, plus the tension and challenge very rarely lets up, even if it does occasionally resort to cheap tricks. It's robust, exciting combat is by far the most appealing element of this game, offering many ways to fight, allowing players a great deal of depth to character building and giving them many choices on how they would like to proceed through this melancholy world.

Dark Souls III concludes the Souls trilogy on a high note. DSIII combines all of the strong elements of the previous games without changing the core mechanics too much and provides an experience that can't be forgotten anytime soon. Get ready for one last journey.

This is a game centered around learning, and even if the teacher can sometimes be punishing in its approach, I like encountering the challenges that From Software has created and then working through them, even if it takes time, tears and frustration, because there's no better feeling than to see a boss falling, cheer and then prepare for the future knowing that the next one will be even harder to deal with.

From a series that came out of anonymity, from darkness (pun intended), today Dark Souls is part of a mainstream audience - the result of its excellence only. Throughout the franchise's history there have been many evolutions and some stumbling blocks, but it is safe to say that Dark Souls III has reached the ideal balance and is the most refined product in the Souls series.

Dark Souls 3 is not as impressive as the first part, but is virtually devoid of the flaws of the second. A great adventure, worthy of a series, able to absorb you and let go only after a few passages.

Dark Souls III in terms of gameplay will take you away from other suls in some comments and take you with you to Bloodborne. On the other hand, the originality and spirit of the past parts of the game are still blown in this part and the same feeling is instilled in you.

Demon's Souls had the spirit, Dark Souls had the lore, Dark Souls II the difficulty, Bloodborne the combat ... Dark Souls III is a bit of a mix of everything but a little less strong and shocking than its predecessors. It's a high-quality game and an ending worthy of a trilogy and even a pentalogy. But it doesn't make you feel bad that From Software stopped, which is a bit sad. I feel that From Software must have other sights. The era of great linear adventures has passed, and the open worlds cry out for good mechanics and combat. Time to do something else. Dark Souls III is the end of an era but it is also the opportunity for the virtues that From Software has cultivated in the dungeon crawler from King's Field to transcend into more ambitious genres. As for Dark Souls III, it is a necessary ending. Ash to ashes, dust to dust.

Dark Souls III is a collection of the best game elements of its genre. The only drawback is that it does not add too much novelty from itself, and Bloodborne's engine forced many compromises on the creators.

Dark Souls has shown players how to fight ultra bother and learn a lot, but the third episode won't overcome past parts of the series because the original charm is gone and it remains a tough grind.

Dark Souls III leaves the PC space the same way the original came in. The gameplay remains challenging but much more refined, with a faster combat system and a bevy of options. It comes in with a very beautiful presentation on both visual and aural fronts, besting the consoles in frame rate and other effects due to the platform's scalability options. However, the various crashes can be bothersome, and the temporary fixes rob the game of either player choice or graphical fidelity - depending on which fix is chosen - something that is made more annoying due to the lack of forthcoming patch news. Still, the game remains a great example of how to accomplish a finale, and once the issues are ironed out, Dark Souls III is another near-masterpiece in the genre.

Dark Souls 3, is a journey I won’t likely forget anytime soon. While it was not as polished as its pseudo cousin Bloodborne, the amazing world design and mix of combat more than made up for this. If this really is the last in the Souls series, this was more than a fitting send off. This is a masterfully crafted game with both beautiful and haunting locations to discover, plunder, and die in. Praise the sun, Dark Souls 3 is a journey worth taking.

So Dark Souls 3 might not be the last game in the series, but we won't be surprised if it's taken in a different direction going forward. The remarkable improvements in terms of combat, level design, and boss encounters, made our time with it well spent despite its technical and user interface failings.

Yes, indeed. From Software has crafted another fantastic title, one that calls back to the great parts of the series' history while still having an identity of its own. If this is how Dark Souls ends, then it will go out burning brightly.

Dark Souls 3 is an amalgamation of all the Souls games with a little bit of Bloodborne added in for good measure. Featuring various game mechanics, enemies, weapons, and even a location or two from other entries in the series along with some new stuff along the way, From Software has definitely developed an excellent, and worthy, Dark Souls sequel.
