It is a decent amount of content for such a cheap price, but unfortunately it just doesn't add that much to the actual gameplay.
Battle Cars can't be faulted for a lack of content. However, it begs the question: Who is this expansion for?
This is the DLC for Mantis Burn that's nobody knew they needed. Now it's a staple mainstay for the game and shouldn't be played without.
Mantis Burn Racing: Battle Cars is a must-have add-on for enthusiastic fans of the original game. If the act of simply racing opponents is beginning to get a bit stale, then throw some machine guns and destructive mines into the mix to turn each race into a total bloodbath. "King of the Track" is a total blast (pun intended) to play and each race can last a while. "Survival" mode is the quicker of the two, as most matches can end in no time. This pack is pure mayhem and a heap of fun to play.
Retailing at just £1.99, this maniacal expansion really takes Mantis Burn Racing onto a whole new level, bringing with it that explosive excitement I so badly craved for when I first played this game in 2016.
Anyone who has been on the fence about jumping into Mantis Burn Racing for some friendly sprints might find that now is a great time to start.
