Far Cry: New Dawn scores positively for many things, and one of them is for bringing, for the first time, a direct sequence of the previous title. Even if it has its flaws and can be a little more of the same, it is possible to have fun in this floral apocalyptic scenario that it delivers.

Far Cry New Dawn is a ridiculously well-polished and fun to play action game (AI issues aside), with an enjoyable if largely mundane story and villains
The amount of crafting and exploring so that you can craft, as well as a couple of minor issues, put a damper on an otherwise fantastic world, and fun game experience.
In the end, New Dawn is still fun, it’s pretty to look at and the guns for hire system is still great. It just doesn’t do much with its new setting and the main story is a tad bit short. It feels like an expansion to Five instead of a sequel, but its price point reflects that fact. If you enjoyed FarCry 5, New Dawn will give you more to love. But if you didn’t, New Dawn isn’t going to win you over.
Let's get this straight, Far Cry New Dawn is a reskin of Far Cry 5. It never claimed to be anything different. But in the process of trying to create its own identity, it accidentally stumbled onto something great. The new characters, as well as old ones, make this an experience that is worth going through. The new mechanics and systems are equally as engaging with special mention given to the wonderfully realised Expeditions. The microtransaction heavy resource system and the fact that it is still the same Hope County does hinder it a bit, but it doesn't stop it from being fun. If you like Far Cry 5, this game is for sure up your alley.
Far Cry New Dawn is all over the place, as crafting and resource gathering slow the game down. The RPG elements are unnecessary and not at all fitting for Far Cry. The story moves at a feverish pace, and ultimately stumbles across the finish line with underdeveloped characters, grinding materials for upgrades, and a lackluster finale. With all of that said, the shooting, stealth, and open-world are still an absolute joy. And Far Cry New Dawn finally ties up some loose ends that were dangling in Far Cry 5. Far Cry New Dawn makes the apocalypse overwhelmingly colorful, fun, and an exciting twist on the environment of Hope County.
Far Cry New Dawn is a Far Cry game in every aspect and that is all you really need.
Overall, New Dawn is a well thought out and enjoyable first-person shooter. Its singular let down is a fairly mundane story that leaves the game feeling like a decent extension to Far Cry 5 rather than its own post-apocalyptic adventure.
Overall I had a really good time playing Far Cry New Dawn, the story is just enough to follow on from last years game and gave me some good feelings of déjà vu as I wandered around the world seeing what had become of it after my last visit.
The game is small when compared to FC5, but still you have got a lot to do, explore a lot of places and also tasked with rebuilding your base etc.
More of the same for less of a price, Far Cry New Dawn brings enough of improvements and tweaks to make Hope County fun again.
Although the campaign is quite small and the villains are not as feared as the previous ones, the hours spent in Far Cry New Dawn are quite amusing. Players are transported to an action-packed world, with a lot to do. With this game you can count on a nostalgic return to Hope County, Montana, with a magical touch.

Far Cry New Dawn offers a more polished take on Far Cry 5’s mechanics. It’s good enough that I wish they would go back and implement the changes to challenges and perks in 5.
Far Cry New Dawn’s moment to moment gameplay is all about fun. It’s story isn’t as strong as previous entries but it makes up for that by delivering on what makes a Far Cry game so great. The world. And there’s a ton for you to do here. Even if like me you’re not a big fan of the main quest line you’ll still have a ball clearing outposts, leveling up your abilities, crafting new upgrades and weapons, completing treasure hunts and expedition missions or even jumping in with a friend and exploring Hope County cooperatively. The new mechanics and systems introduced here have me really excited to see what Ubisoft come out with in the next Far Cry entry.

Understandably, however, the game formula shows signs of attrition rather obvious, which the team struggles to balance with the introduction of interesting and interesting roleplaying dynamics but, overall, not completely in focus.
