With Braking Point 2 aboard, F1 23 is a far heartier package than F1 22. However, while the new F1 World mode is packed with activities, its loot-based upgrade system may split fans.

The excellent story, still-superlative career and loot-based F1 World make for a convincing and gigantic F1 experience.

Another cutting edge F1 simulator, with a great single-player story mode and a more accessible range of options and modes than ever before.

F1 23 is one of those games that manage to make you love even more a genre that you already liked a lot, or that you even did not like. Few titles can boast of it, and that shows that this work is a real game within the genre of driving and simulation.

F1 23 continues its upward path to offer the best recreation of Formula 1 that, thanks to the return of Braking Point and the inclusion of other novelties, manages to leave better sensations than in 2022. A small step forward that is marred by the inclusion of unnecessary micropayments and premium currency.

F1 23 is an improvement over last year's iteration, but not nearly as impactful of an upgrade. Here's hoping that the F1 series can continue to build on its successes and take a page out of Red Bull's recent Formula 1 dominance: incremental updates are more valuable than wholesale changes.

It may not be remembered as one of the best titles in the series, but F1 23 has many arrows to its bow. From the driving model to the red flags, Codemasters has made an effort to make its simulation more accessible and fun without distorting its soul too much. The return of Braking Point mode is appreciable, while the addition of the F1 World hub is ideal for those looking for a quick challenge and who like to race online. Graphics, AI, and Career mode are aging badly and needing a refresh.

EA SPORTS F1 23 continues the series' legacy of being the definitive F1 racing experience for gamers. With the updates made to braking, accelerating, and cornering, as well as Precision Drive technology for controller players, the game plays smoother than ever and can easily be enjoyed by players of all skill and interest levels. Braking Point also makes a return with another drama-filled story.

F1 23 falls short in the same areas as its predecessors have over many years. There's a great single player experience let down by a completely neglected multiplayer, which brings the games longevity into question. Those who love the F1 games regardless will find this iteration to at least be better in some ways.

F1 23 covers a lot of bases. The 2023 version offers a variety of ways to play the game depending on your skill level and preferences. It is a good iteration for newcomers to jump into and the greater depth of options will satisfy the needs of veterans.

F1 23 is a solidly packed racing experience that improves upon its predecessor in almost every way. With a little something for everyone, on top of an immersive and impressive experience on PS5, it's a worthwhile addition to the libraries of enthusiasts and casuals alike. We loved how tailormade the game could become, whether that was a heavily assisted racing experience, or a brutally immersive one. The campaign doesn't always hit the mark, and F1 World while expansive isn't exactly revolutionary, but at the very least, it's nice to see Formula 1 get the same care and attention that many other popular sports games have been receiving for years.

F1 23 improves and expands almost everything from the previous iteration of the series, from the driving model to the physics of the single-seaters, even the multiple game modes are now – finally – abundant.

F1 2023 does not reinvent the wheel, that is true, but the additions it has made added to the corrections implemented in the control make the title worthwhile for any fan of the highest category of motorsport.

F1 23 is a case of evolution rather than revolution. It improves many aspects of its predecessor, most notably the feel of controller play and car physics that represent real-life Formula One as well as any game has. There’s still areas to improve, but only the most finicky F1 fan won’t be impressed by the exceptionally immersive racing experience Codemasters have created.

Accessibility is the watchword of F1 23. Codemasters has not limited itself to the task and has rearranged the driving model to make it less unpredictable and, above all, more suitable for those who do not compete with steering wheel and pedals.

It only remains to say that it is one of the best racing games made to date and without a doubt the most outstanding in the world of Formula 1, since it is faithful to its roots, maintains its essence, as well as adding new features such as the exciting and deep F1 World mode and the long-awaited return of the Braking Point narrative production.

Like Red Bull Racing winning every single Grand Prix, Codies brings home yet another cracking Formula One racing sim in F1 23, bringing back the excellent Braking Point story mode alongside all of that other good stuff. Break out the champagne – this one's a winner.

F1 23 is another step forward for this already incredible franchise with the return of Braking Point and the improved handling this replaces F1 22 as the best video game representation of the sport it is simulating. A must play for any F1 fans and players.
