Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Reviews
THQ Nordic did a very nice job handling this remaster. All the mechanics that made the original Darksiders a hit are still there and thriving. Small technical issues held this game back from a more perfect score. Keep it up THQ Nordic and let's see the third entry soon!
In a generation of half-hearted, glitchy remasters, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition stands out as a true labor of love. It's not only the best way to dive back into the world of Darksiders, but also the best starting point for those new to the franchise.

A masterful re-up with a great story, a beautifully grim world and exciting, fast-paced gameplay. And that price point makes it essential.
Loaded with humor, skill-based action and interesting brainteasers, the original Darksiders is one of the best games to come out of the last generation. It takes numerous recipes from other games and creates an adventure that’s worth taking. Having a better looking version of that sold at a fair price made available to the current gen makes Darksiders: Warmastered Edition absolutely worth the time.
For £14.99, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition provides an enjoyably compelling 15 plus hour adventure full of fast-paced combat and brain teasing puzzles that is easy to recommend.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is one of the best remasters this generation. Not only is this game fantastic, but it is also one of several hidden gems a lot of gamers may have missed its first time around.
With Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, THQ Nordic has ushered in the return of one of the last generation's best action-adventure games. Furthermore, instead of simply giving us a barebones port or a half-assed upgrade, the publisher and its team of talented developers have done the biblical epic justice with a thorough and impressive remaster.
With a rewarmaster now under its belt, one would assume that it's well worth going back to it. In some regards that is true. The game's vibrant art style is complimented all the more with the visual and textural upgrade, and the smoother frame rate causes War himself to look like a powerhouse against every enemy that he faces. However, that's all that this remaster has to offer.
Darksiders Warmastered is a more than capable upgrade for a game that is almost seven years old. Fortunately, the core gameplay itself is just as satisfying and brutal today as it was in 2010.
Minor conversion issues aside that can likely be solved, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition has the intrinsic fortune of being a timeless looker with its distinct visuals, which benefits from appropriate resolution and performance buffs that bring it up to speed. A fantasy world that retains its wonder and gracefully aged gameplay easily ensure that this game's horseman can confidently cometh again.
ou can’t really go wrong with this title and with it being marginally cheaper than most AAA games, it’s a good value proposition as well.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition is a masterclass on how to reinvigorate and rejuvinate a brand in the most remarkable way.
1080p and 60fps (or even 4K and 60fps on PS4 Pro) and the very good price of 19,99 euros give the game a new chance to be enjoyed.

The game gives players a certain level of customization to suit their play style, and definitely rewards players who spend more time looking for hidden areas and secrets.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is an example of a remaster done right. It’s priced right, offers some meaningful technical improvements.
Most of Darksiders Warmastered Edition work rather well. Even if you can easily attribute the major elements to other games, Darksiders adapts them for its own use and mixes them together in such a way that it is surprising it had not been done before, and really hasn’t been done since. The gameplay is greatly satisfying and, while the story is very dumb, completing dungeons and slowly building your power does a great deal to helping you overcome that shortcoming. Sure the executions are more like an FMV than an engaging QTE, and the lip syncing is really bad, but this is a game worth checking out, especially if you haven’t touched the original.
Darksiders is the same game it was back in 2010; a fantastic experience. The addition of enhanced visuals and a smoother frame rate only bolsters that fact. For new players, the Warmastered Edition is an enjoyable journey that encapsulates all the things that makes Darksiders great. For veterans of the series, saddle up Ruin and join War for another adventure. The apocalypse never looked so inviting!
Darksiders is one of the games you should have played in your gamer life. If you missed it back in 2010 the Warmastered Edition is the perfect chance to give it a try!
