Injustice 2 Reviews
Injustice 2 continues NetherRealm's tradition of best-in-class story modes with solid, complex fighting to back it up. Learning the ropes could just be a little more convenient. Buy it.
Fast, furious, fun and another positive adjective beginning with f, Injustice 2 is everything you need from a fighting game.
Not content with just being a stylish and smart fighting game, Injustice 2 delves into deeper territory with a must-play story mode for DC fans and progression systems that'll keep players coming back for more.
Fast, satisfying combat and the most ambitious single player for a fighting game yet, Injustice 2 is a great game elevated further by its attention to detail and Cavill-esque good looks.
A fantastic story mode, accessible controls, and a subtle RPG vibe has left our reviewer surprisingly enamoured of NetherRealms' sequel
Overall, Injustice 2 takes a strong fighting game, delivers an incredibly rewarding and lengthy single player that feels like a priority rather than a tacked on afterthought, and considerably increases the scope of the game by adding in a vast number of well made additional characters to the mix. Sure it hits the uncanny valley a bit, and I'm not keen on the loot boxes or their DLc plans, but it's hard to deny how much fun I had with the game at launch.
With its immersive story mode, deep gear system and tight combat, Injustice 2 is a must-have fighting game for comic fans and tournament players.
Injustice 2 builds upon its predecessor with a great additional fighters and a story that adds weight to every fight.
The second installment of DC Comics' super-powered fighting game packs a serious punch, delivering an expertly crafted experience for gamers and comic fans alike.
This is another flourish of a fighting game that is big on style. There is a saunter and character to its roster, to its stages that fizz and crumble under the weight of battle, it is kinetic and fun and easy to get into. And it might just be your new favourite fighting game... even if you have never played one before.
NetherRealm and Warner Bros Studios have delivered a fantastic sequel with Injustice 2.
NetherRealm has completely knocked it out of the park with Injustice 2 once again.
There is nothing else that quite compares to the excitement and joy you feel after stringing a bunch of moves together, making an epic combination, and kicking the big-bad to smithereens!
Injustice 2 is the best fighting game from Netherealm Studios to date. It improves over not just the original Injustice, but Mortal Kombat as well. The story mode puts WB's live action movies to shame and the Metaverse provides near endless replay value.
Injustice 2 is a lot more of what I loved about the first game. The gear really adds to the single player aspect. I find myself grinding characters and decking them out with the latest fashion. It is addictive, and will likely keep me playing for months. It is impossible to argue the value they packed into this game. Whether their style of fighting game is up your alley is another story. Injustice 2 won't suddenly change anyone's opinion of the developer's work, but it will thrill fans of it.
For those of you which fantasied about your favorite DC characters fighting by bumping your action figures together, Injustice 2 extends that fantasy into an impressively executed video game. There's a lot to offer, and it will take you hundreds of hours to unlock everything, let alone attain the Platinum Trophy. The game's depth in fighting, story, and customisation options make it a worthy addition to not only any fighting gamer's library – but demands to be tried by people of all tastes.
Injustice 2 goes to great lengths to be a fighting game with longevity in mind without ostracizing a more casual audience. A superb story, a great roster, and a smart, if overly complicated, Gear system all contribute to that, and the result is arguably the best overall fighter of modern times.
Bigger, faster, stronger, the second chapter in the beat'em up series of the DC Universe improves the original in every possible way, with a great single player mode, a very rich customisation system, and some nice online features, for competitive and casual players alike.
