So what's the actual premise to lead to this? Why, it's simple. Your poor sad little dude starts the game without this time limit. ...And then the first thing you do is pick up a cursed sword that kills you in sixty seconds and it all goes to shit. Every time you come back to life, a good chunk of your progress holds. The big stuff. But all the little things reset. It's kind of like a compressed Majora's Mask, except that reset a lot more than this does.
Minit is a curious concept that is well executed, even if the One-Minute mechanic might not be for everyone is a curious experiment that pays off in a lot of ways and definitely shouldn't work as well. For fans of the classic Zelda games, this one is worth checking out.

How can a game where you only live from minute to minute, in pure black and white and without scrolling be so joyful and rewarding? Because there's a lot of talent behind Minit, an action-RPG that crushes games that last tens of hours.

I had a great time with Minit and really enjoyed its unique time constraint mechanic and interconnected world.
It's always great to see a videogame try and do something different, and Minit does so with gusto: it takes a tried-and-tested formula and turns it on its head with one very simple mechanic. It makes a standard adventure game into a test of memory, of patience, of skill, and even though it'll frustrate you, it'll have you coming back for "just one minute" time and time again.
Minit itself is a huge achievement, something that comes across as so basic but manages to hide many intricate details including a narrative that is discovered as the game progresses.
Minit surprised me. After starting on a small scale that will make you think that it will be over in a few minutes, the game will soon let you know it's a larger adventure. I liked playing through the campaign of Minit, since The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is one of my favorite games of all time – it also has a bit of Half-Minute Hero in it, which is definitely great.
Minit is a nice and lovely mini-adventure full of interesting puzzles and fun situations.

The twist at the core of Minit, that you play it sixty seconds at a time, is initially intriguing and engaging, but ends up clashing with the puzzle and exploration-heavy gameplay in a way that left me feeling agitated rather than charmed by this nostalgia-driven indie title.
Minit is full of bright ideas that remind you of the Gameboy era and in its 4 hours playthrough, you will come across some beautifully designed levels that will keep you on and on.

Minit manages to capture the nostalgic feeling of older games and some of its features are certainly fun. However outdated design choices may make it difficult to enjoy for modern gamers. This is the title to approach if you are willing to relive the memories of the past.

Talking any more about Minit would end up spoiling this experience for you and, trust me, it's definitely a game you want to play on PlayStation 4! Trophy hunters will be happy to learn that this one has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, with objectives such as finding this and that item, finding all items, for finding a coin, for finding all coins, finding an extra heart, finding all extra hearts, and more!
Minit might not last that long, but it is a memorable experience that cuts out fluff and just delivers clever puzzles and concepts. You might not spend a lot of time with it, but playing through it once is as insightful a meditation on 2D Zelda-style gameplay as any game multiple times its length.
Experimental games like Minit deserve to be embraced by fans and I hope that those of you reading this will soon count yourselves among those who give it a download.
Minit is a truly creative gem, putting an inspired twist on the classic top-down adventures of our youth in order to craft something truly special.

Minit is a bite-sized Zelda perfect for brief moments of play. While the time management mechanic forces a lot of backtracking and can make solving the game's puzzle's frustrating, there's a deceptive amount of content.

Minit is an adventure with a twist—an adventure that turns into work, and a twist that turns into as much of an anchor as any unfulfilling day job.
Minit lives and dies by the time-constraining gimmick it possesses. The constant specter of death makes the short quest feel like an epic adventure, but the game as a whole doesn't rise above being more than a curious novelty.
