For fans of the original, This the Police 2 is undoubtedly a stronger game. For new players, if you want to understand some of the characters in this game you might want to pick up This Is The Police for the story, but in terms of gameplay, this is a far more polished, in-depth and immersive experience than This Is The Police.
Although conceptually sound with a fairly strong setting, This is the Police 2 struggles to say or do anything meaningful with its premise.
Overall, This Is The Police 2's mechanics are a vast improvement on an already solid formula, and this change for the better also stretches into the game's plot.
Before the balance patch, I really did think the game was just too hard. However, if you are a fan of the first This is the Police you will enjoy the second game. If you didn't play the first entry and are looking for a cop simulation game, give This is the Police 2 a go.
This Is The Police 2 proves to be a challenging management simulator with a dark story that sometimes gets a little long-winded. A few hiccups hold it back, but fans of the genre will enjoy it all the same.

Story is so amazing and challenges you very well in some points. Although This is the Police 2 has some issues and weak points like some annoying long dialogs, but in the end this a game that worth your time and money very well.

Sometimes trying to do so much dilutes what you're trying to accomplish, and This is The Police II is a prime example of that.
TITP2 is a challenging but enjoyable experience. Maybe the super hard difficulty is to understand its core message. As a simulator, being the chief police officer is a hard and enduring task. Sometimes you have to risk citizen lives for the greater good. Other times you have to neglect alerts and send your officers for personal gain. It's a cold and grueling world, just like Sharpwood. Despite its flaws, I appreciate the improvements in this sequel.

Jack Boyd shows that the truth has more than one side and that everything is justifiable. Although the story has some problems and the narrative has an inconsistent rhythm, the new gameplay modes bring a different feeling to the sequence, keeping the player more engaged, different from the first game that could become boring after some time.

Despite its flaws, especially on plot, This is the Police 2 still manages to be a compelling piece of gaming. With gameplay that can really suck players in and no shortage of police-style problems to deal with, it's definitely an experience worth looking into.
If you are a huge fan of the first This is the Police, you are in for an awakening. An awakening both good and bad, while some things such as the more in-depth officers and RPG like system were improved on, yet the over-excessive story and hard difficulty overshadows the improvements in those gameplay features. Some of these can be fixed with updates, others may not. I would love to see a third with the best of both worlds put in.
This Is the Police 2 is exactly the game that we were longing for. There were no games based on real-life events for a long time. you should behold the magic cast by developers in the campaign section, and hope that gameplay does not get monotonous over time. Graphics are on an acceptable level and despite outdated cutscene visuals. This Is The Police 2 can serve as a fun experience.

This is the Police 2 is a great example of how to present a Tactical RPG game on Consoles. Everything from the menus to the GUI is fully optimised for either the Mouse on PC or the Controller on Consoles – this may seem small, but there are some games out there which don't get this right. The game is full of action, excitement, humour, and manipulation – a perfect list of ingredients for a game about dirty cops, corruption, criminals and the law. If you've played the original game then you need to play this as it follows on directly. If you haven't played the original, either go pick it up or just jump right into this one as all the backstory is fully explained.
This Is The Police 2 is shooting for something morally grey and messy but never quite has the narrative heft to carry it.
Overall, This is the Police 2 is an outstanding game. It’s fun to micro-manage your team and it really makes you proud for when you get situations right and manage to save the day.
