This Is the Police 2 never contemplates police brutality, wrongful arrests, or anything whatsoever about race.
This is the Police 2 was interesting, but not all the time. After some time it became slightly monotonous and things began to repeat. Because of one mistake, I had to play the game again before I reached the end. This game has a lot of ideas that look great, but unfortunately are not finished. So is the second part better than the first one? Certainly not for me, because the first episode came to me that coined the principle in "simplicity is strength". In the second episode they tried to add a heap of new elements which most of them do not work as they should. That's a pity.

This Is The Police 2 is shooting for something morally grey and messy but never quite has the narrative heft to carry it.
A competent sequel that adds some neat touches, but doesn't fix enough of the first game's problems.
Sometimes trying to do so much dilutes what you're trying to accomplish, and This is The Police II is a prime example of that.
Although conceptually sound with a fairly strong setting, This is the Police 2 struggles to say or do anything meaningful with its premise.
The XCOM-style tactical missions are a good addition to mix up the gameplay, but the core mechanics grow grimly monotonous as you soldier on.
A sequel that adds a bit too much to its plate and ends coming up very short.
The core is solid, but there's simply too much bloat.
This is the Police 2 is a sequel that tries to experiment on its mistakes, but the situation only gets worse. With a superfine narrative, but at times long and boring, and a management in disarray that unnecessarily complicates a strategic one that would have excellent bases to entertain. In this version for Nintendo Switch are added microscopic and almost incomprehensible texts in portable mode, no touchscreen and some uncertainty about the use of commands. Fingers crossed for the next chapter (if they decide to do it!).

Bogged down by unnecessary hurdles and overly complicated storytelling, This Is The Police 2 does not do its premise justice.
On the whole This is the Police II puts obvious effort into being a better and more interesting game than its predecessor. While the development team obviously set their sights pretty high the results are likely heavily open to interpretation. People who thoroughly enjoy the challenge of managing their resources and struggling to keep it all together may thoroughly enjoy the experience, aggravations and all. However, if you’re just looking for something to start up and begin enjoying this sequel is a bit of a step back from even the original, becoming more cumbersome with the weight of its ambitions that don’t all work out.
This Is The Police 2 is a distinctive and multi-faceted management sim with a fresh tactical edge. However, its list of punishing demands, perpetually scarce resources, and sluggish storytelling can sap the game of joy and momentum. There's a lot to do, and a fair amount of that is fun, but it feels like the game's many systems and demands are competing both for scarce virtual resources and your strained attention. In that sense, you'll come to relate to Sharpwood's put-upon new Sheriff all too well.
This Is the Police 2 is a dark and engrossing game that takes the best bits of its predecessor and builds upon it in every way
An overall improvement on the original but the lack of focus encourages too many unwanted features, that dilute an otherwise interesting portrayal of law enforcement.
Interesting and direct, this game offers an intense management experience trying to make the Police Department work and also to discover the main character's past; it's also a little repetitive from the first release... and that is not sexy.

It would be easy to dismiss this as a Fargo knockoff, instead of a game that’s trying to find its out story niche. It may be a bit disjointed in its pacing, but its core story is an engaging one, enough to keep me wanting to play through.
Police Story continues in cold Sharpwood with young sheriff Lilly and retired police chief Jack Boyd. And with new tactical combat. It is still acceptable.

This Is The Police 2 proves to be a challenging management simulator with a dark story that sometimes gets a little long-winded. A few hiccups hold it back, but fans of the genre will enjoy it all the same.
The creators of This is the Police 2 were not able to dismantle the gameplay routine of police chief's everyday work. The game's new feature – tactical missions – is well-made and really fun but this feeling ends very quick. You can't save your game during these missions which is very frustrating. Still, the story is great and the fans of the previous game will be happy.
