This is the Police 2 is an impeccably grim view of the modern police force. It deconstructs and subverts police genre stories with a protagonist that offers no remorse and warrants no redemption. It does this while providing an intriguing and vibrant cast of characters and a rewarding gameplay loop. It isn't perfect, but it certainly should not be missed.
Few stories in games can successfully make me hate the "protagonist" and at the same time draw me compulsively further into the events and plot twists. Paired up with the simplistic and impressionistic art of the story frames, the atmosphere and the complexity of the intertwining yet opposing factions bandying for influence over hopelessly corrupt Jack Boyd and you have a Noir story set in the 80's that could rival the classics.
This is the Police 2 is a great example of how to present a Tactical RPG game on Consoles. Everything from the menus to the GUI is fully optimised for either the Mouse on PC or the Controller on Consoles – this may seem small, but there are some games out there which don't get this right. The game is full of action, excitement, humour, and manipulation – a perfect list of ingredients for a game about dirty cops, corruption, criminals and the law. If you've played the original game then you need to play this as it follows on directly. If you haven't played the original, either go pick it up or just jump right into this one as all the backstory is fully explained.
Overall, This Is The Police 2's mechanics are a vast improvement on an already solid formula, and this change for the better also stretches into the game's plot.
Despite not much changed in the core game, and the tactical combat mechanics are rather simplistic, This is the Police 2 is a solid sequel to the original game.
TITP2 is a challenging but enjoyable experience. Maybe the super hard difficulty is to understand its core message. As a simulator, being the chief police officer is a hard and enduring task. Sometimes you have to risk citizen lives for the greater good. Other times you have to neglect alerts and send your officers for personal gain. It's a cold and grueling world, just like Sharpwood. Despite its flaws, I appreciate the improvements in this sequel.

This Is the Police 2 is exactly the game that we were longing for. There were no games based on real-life events for a long time. you should behold the magic cast by developers in the campaign section, and hope that gameplay does not get monotonous over time. Graphics are on an acceptable level and despite outdated cutscene visuals. This Is The Police 2 can serve as a fun experience.

As a whole, This is the Police 2 mirrors Jack fairly well. It can be cruel and insufferable, but if you can bear the abuse, you'll find yourself engrossed in a unique, compelling experience that is unlike most other management sims.

Before the balance patch, I really did think the game was just too hard. However, if you are a fan of the first This is the Police you will enjoy the second game. If you didn't play the first entry and are looking for a cop simulation game, give This is the Police 2 a go.
This is the Police 2 is a nice mix of different genres. Separately each of them may not seem very exciting, but this game is more than just a sum of each ingredient.

Overall, This is the Police 2 is an outstanding game. It’s fun to micro-manage your team and it really makes you proud for when you get situations right and manage to save the day.
Jack Boyd shows that the truth has more than one side and that everything is justifiable. Although the story has some problems and the narrative has an inconsistent rhythm, the new gameplay modes bring a different feeling to the sequence, keeping the player more engaged, different from the first game that could become boring after some time.

For fans of the original, This the Police 2 is undoubtedly a stronger game. For new players, if you want to understand some of the characters in this game you might want to pick up This Is The Police for the story, but in terms of gameplay, this is a far more polished, in-depth and immersive experience than This Is The Police.
This is the Police 2 is a challenging game with very good story and narration, unique art style, nice music and variable gameplay that has seen good improvements Compared with the first game. Story is so amazing and challenges you very well in some points. Although This is the Police 2 has some issues and weak points like some annoying long dialogs, but in the end this a game that worth your time and money very well.
