The foundation of Construction Simulator 2 is solid, and there’s an enjoyment to be found in the simple, repetitive nature of the game. And at £17.99, there is a lot of content packed in. However, the game suffers from a lack of ambition. Of the many missions, there’s limited variety. There’s no real management of your company, and no challenge to keep things afloat. Having a bigger scope, and a lot more polish to the game, it has the potential to be as beloved as a game like SimCity or Theme Park. However, as it stands, I can only recommend this to fans of the genre already. As such, I award Construction Simulator 2 US – Console Edition a Thumb Culture Bronze award.

If you've never played either of these titles before and a fan of the genre they're a worthy addition to your library. Otherwise there's little added to warrant a re-purchase.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes everything from the first game and improves upon it. Although I am torn between which location I prefer (Cruise Ship vs Island facility) I feel that this sequel has benefitted from being developed for consoles. The Revelations spinoff series has produced arguably two of the best Resident Evil games since Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube, and now we can finally experience them both together on a Nintendo console!

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is an episodic sequel to the 3DS game and now available on the Nintendo Switch for the first time. It's a solid sequel that runs well on the console-handheld-hybrid but can't quite impress like the first game when it comes to story and gameplay.

All in all, Resident Evil Revelations 2 is an affordable and fun experience for Nintendo Switch owners. Not quite up to the standard of a full Resident Evil experience, but not far off either - great to play with gyro controls, too.

The Resident Evil franchise can effectively be divided into two periods: the games before Resident Evil 4 and those that came afterwards. Revelations 2 falls into the latter group of games, and it is easily one of the best, if not the best since RE 4.

The last bit of the Nintendo Switch's 3rd party support of 2017 offers 2 enjoyable RE outings, though not without their quarks.

These are the perfect RE games to play on the Switch, with fantastic motion controls and a whole host of cracking DLC to boot.

The Switch port of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is the most complete to date, thanks to the Switch's various gameplay styles and its motion controls. This version also benefits from allowing two players to play together on either a TV or the Switch's screen.

The Nintendo Switch is sorely lacking in horror titles, and the Resident Evil Revelations Collection is a welcome addition to the console's library. If you're looking to expand your horizons or simply get your start in the horror genre on your shiny new handheld, you could do way worse than this double shot of high-octane zombified horror game. It's not the classic Resident Evil adventure you may remember from your original PlayStation or GameCube endeavors, but it's certainly a worthy buy, motion control issues and all. Plus, it's been on nearly all consoles by now. You may as well bring it home on Switch too!

If you haven't played the Revelations games before, this is a great way to do such. Switch-specific features, solid gameplay, good graphics, and fun online are the highlights of this collection, and being able to play them anywhere is a great convenience.

All in all, the Resident Evil Revelations Collection is a sub-par port of a pair of fun games. It's by no means unplayable, but it's not the best way to play either title. The new features are either ignorable or actively detrimental, and the ports suffer from extended loading times and lack of ambition. If you're a fan of the franchise, it's probably something you can push past, but the Switch version only adds a couple of minigames and the ability to play Revelations 2 on the go. Fans of the franchise who missed out on Revelations may want to snag the collection, but casual players may want to wait and see if the loading times are patched.

Both games do look good on the Nintendo Switch's hardware. Neither are particularly ground-breaking works of visual design, but they get the job down, and so far as the Switch is concerned, character models are detailed enough, and environments are clear enough to make an impact when they need to.

Resident Evil Revelations Collection is a cheap, but entertaining games for those looking for more Mature focused titles on the Switch. Both of these games offer strong campaigns and a solid multiplayer component that can easily eat up around a dozen hours each.

REV 2, even with its issues is a huge jump in quality compared to the Vita release. I'd love to see more Resident Evil games on the Switch so this seems like a no brainer.

Besides including all of its previously released content, Resident Evil: Revelations Collections lacks of an interesting cooperative mode or special features for the Nintendo Switch. It's a good addition for the library, just not great.

At the end of the day, you're buying both of these for the same reason that everyone is buying Switch ports: the ability to play the games at home or on the go. For that, Revelations 1 and 2 are both decent ports.

Resident Evil Revelations Collection brings two survival horror games to Switch with a host of problems, including some absolutely terrifying loading times. It's a shame because both games work so well in handheld mode. Whether it's running for your life on a desolated cruise ship or island, this Collection offers some of the best moments from the entire Resident Evil series if you're willing to sacrifice the technical quality.
