Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time Reviews
A good premise that just doesn't match up to it's execution, much like one of Akko's spells.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time may be a first decent title in the beloved anime series, but Bandai Namco takes into consideration a second game, the formula must be completely reworked.
It's quite sad that Chamber of Time so actively works against you in many ways. The tediousness of everything, from school exploration to combat, can really start to drag on you after a while, even if you do enjoy the story and characters.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is a product made for the fans but they'd rather watch again the show than play this.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time offers a simple and unique adventure for fans of the anime series, maintaining outstanding audio performance and animation, providing huge content and characters with different combat capabilities, but in contrast the events are slowly going on and the game suffers from frame rate problems from time to time.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is heartbreaking. I'm a huge fan of the original anime, and this game does a tremendous job of capturing the heart and personality of that world. Characters look and sound incredible, and getting to explore their school and experience new adventures with them is a blessing. Unfortunately, obtaining that blessing requires a two-mile crawl on your knees through the jagged glass and thorny ivy that is the busted, broken, and simply not fun gameplay of Chamber of Time. Battles are aggravating and exploration is mind-numbing. For as brilliant as the narrative and artistic achievements of Chamber of Time are, it's weighed down by unpolished game design choices that simply make it no fun to actually play at all.
Even if it faithfully portrays the animated series' essence, Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time merge two different game genres without truly making a successful blend. The dungeon-crawling part poses no real challenge thanks to exploitable flaws, and the adventure part is rather simplistic. If you're not a fan of the franchise, I don't expect you will really like the game.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is an underwhelming experience made all the more frustrating by that feeling of how it could have been so much better. The characters and visuals are a highlight throughout and for fans of the series may be enough to see the game through. Expectations are a powerful thing and unfortunately, Chamber of Time just doesn’t live up to mine.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is the video game adaptation you were not expecting and won't care about if you are not an hardcore fan of the anime. The game is a weird mix between an old-school 2D side-scrolling and a PS2 era RPG but does not stand out in any of the genre it tries to tackle. However, only once you forget about the core gameplay and simply wander around the aisle of the Academia speaking with Akko's little friends, then you can really start enjoying Chamber of Time. Not for what it is, but for what it is not : a visual novel set within the world of Little Witch Academia starring the cutest hero of all time, Akko!

The weak combat and underwhelming RPG elements are the biggest hurdle in enjoying Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time despite offering strong visuals and a fun world to explore.
I was worried Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time would be a cheap cash grab, but I was wrong. There are some flaws, but the most important aspect — the franchise's ethos — is fully intact and on full display, making this a game that's sure to leave fans spellbound
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time might not be the most exciting narrative, it has enough to see and do to be fun. The art style and character interactions make it feel like an anime series, with the gameplay being deep enough to retain interest. Sadly, the time elements can be annoying, especially when you just miss something or have to wait for an event to occur but this isn't enough to ruin the fun waiting for you in Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time.
While not without some criticism, Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is an enjoyable experience.
With its charming characters and engaging story, Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time could have been so much more.
Verdict… do I really still need to repeat everything? I think not! So let’s just take this time to talk about replay value. This one in particular is saved for last so we could end on a positive note because I’m not trying to pick a fight here “Akko!” So when it comes to the game’s replay value I find it good because of infinite dungeons and PVP mode, while I never had the opportunity to try the PVP mode, it will be one thing that people may or may not go for but despite all that it’s one feature that could be enjoyed one way or the other.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is a disappointment.
It is hard to recommend this game to anyone else because of its bland environmens and repetitive events, Little Witch Academia is a game that is aimed at the series fans first and foremost despite some unique designs that we liked.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time manages to capture the essence of the anime brilliantly. There's plenty of fun to be had exploring Luna Nova as well as all the various dungeons. Some slow story pacing and frame rate drops let things down slightly, but if you're a fan of the series, you should definitely pick this up.
The look of Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time and the time it spends with its characters gives the game a great deal of charm, but its play styles continually drag it down.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is probably a safe pick up for diehard fans, a gamble for those with a little bit of familiarity like myself, and a dangerous choice for anyone outside of those two categories. For a title based on a world filled with magic, the game itself has very little of it to be found.
