Overall Bandai Namco did a fantastic job resurrecting the Soulcalibur franchise with the 6th version.

Because it is so accessible and enjoyable, I suspect that Soulcalibur VI will become one of my most played fighting games, because it's just that versatile and enjoyable that I'll just default to it when I'm in the mood for a fighter (or looking to play with someone else).

Soulcalibur VI delivers newcomers and old-time fans alike a double serving: it's a solid 3D fighter that will surely keep one's fighting game community busy for months to come, and a single-player experience chock-full of things to do thanks to two lengthy single-player campaigns and an absorbing Character Creation mode.

Gripes with Tira notwithstanding, Soulcalibur VI exists in its own special pantheon when it comes to current generation 3D fighters. Even if you're not usually a SC fan, consider this your jumping on point.

All in all, it’s a game that simply goes above and beyond what normal fighting games do. From the overall aesthetic to the fluidity of its unique combat. The two-story modes offer unique experiences and online matches give the game value in replayability. And I’m probably a broken record at this point but Libra of Souls is definitely the star of the show as it encourages players to be creative while also experimental.

Soul Calibur has always been unique with its 8-way movement system and is hands-down the best fighter of it's kind. If you're a fan of fighting games at all, then play this game. You won't regret it.

If you have any interest in picking up a good fighting game this October, SoulCalibur VI is an amazing choice. With the exception of a few small issues, and lacking content in some areas, SoulCalibur VI is something I can wholeheartedly recommend to everyone.

SoulCalibur VI is an excellent fighting game and one of the best entries in the franchise. If you've avoided the franchise until now, you should change that. There might not be another opportunity.

The soul of Soulcalibur 6 is so strong that a few minor issues don't do much to bring down one of the best entries in the series.

Project Souls has managed to restore luster to his work. SoulCalibur VI is proposed as an excellent base for newbies and a satisfying title for more experienced players: cared for in many respects, enriched in terms of single player and with an effective reinterpretation of the controls which is flanked by the brand new Reversal Edge, SoulCalibur VI leaves behind the weight of a fifth chapter not very successful to revive the series and in spite of some more or less slight defects, not on a technical level but structural because of the Season Pass, it proves to be one of the best fighting games of this year.

The single-player offerings lean a little too heavily on lots of reading between bouts, but the way Libra of Soul implements the actual combat stands out among fighting game campaigns

SoulCalibur VI is the most dignified return to the stages of the Soul saga, which recovers the throne of 3D fighting games. With two intense story modes and a solid gameplay that returns to its origins by adding new features that make it even more accessible, we'll enjoy exciting battles filled with epic and fun.

While SoulCalibur VI probably will not be a top title in the eSports fighting scene, it has a solid enough online presence that should provide plenty of competitive gameplay. That being said, too often the fighting genre relies too heavily on online competition to give their games longevity. Kudos to the development team here for creating an incredibly robust single player experience that is worth coming back to time and again. This makes SoulCalibur VI my vote for best fighting game of 2019.

Soulcalibur VI is a good action fighting video game to have in your gaming shelves together with the other big games right now like Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V. This will be great for playing with friends who also love fighting video games.
