SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech Reviews
Steamworld Quest is yet another fun entry in the franchise, and while it sadly doesn’t reach the same exciting heights as Dig 2, it’s still a super solid entry in its own right, with a lot of fun combat, amusing dialogue, great characters and very addictive deckbuilding. It may seem a bit convoluted at first, or so far removed from the other steamworld games that it may feel completely alien at first glance, but once you give it a shot and stick by this tale, you’ll really be thankful you started the path to be the king of games!
SteamWorld Quest Hand of Gilgamech is a very fun, beautifully designed RPG, deck building game that can be beaten in a short time but does have some minor drawbacks.
Aside from the audiovisual that are great as usual, SteamWorld Quest feels kind of bland. It definitely isn't bad and it can give you a couple hours of enjoyment, but eventually, its relative simplicity will start to wear you down.

Beautiful hand-drawn world and amusing card battles won't disappoint you.

SteamWorld Quest isn’t going to be the next Slay the Spire, and to be honest, die hard Spire-ites will probably find its one-and-done story a bit, well, restricting. But for card novices (which I count myself one of), it’s still a real charmer, no matter how sluggish it might get in those early hours.
SteamWorld Quest offers endless fun, and while its 15 hours gameplay is shorter than most RPGs, it still manages to entertain using a solid combat system and the familiar atmosphere the series in know for, and more importantly once again proves that the Sweden based Image & Form is one the best developers around.

SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech is an entertaining card-based RPG that players who enjoy a turn-based challenge should not pass up. Regardless of its lengthy battles, its combat flexibility and enchanting world more than make up for it. So take up the sword and the gear, and save the world!
If there is one primary take-away you should have, it’s that Image & Form’s attention to detail in their game design is exquisite, as it is hugely evident that they set out to create an RPG that focuses on the fun aspects of the genre and thoroughly eliminates the tedium which can so easily bog it down. Your time spent with SteamWorld Quest is time actually playing the game; doing battles, collecting loot, and advancing the story. The fun is all there, easy to access and unhindered in its execution. You have only to pick up your Switch and press start to experience it.
SteamWorld Quest is a wonderful adventure that you can not miss if you love RPGs.

With wonderful combat and more charm than any game I can name off the top of my head Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech is a very easy recommendation from me despite a few undercooked ideas.
Even if you’re not big on card games, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech is another home run for Image & Form and a definite must-buy on Nintendo Switch.
An excellent addition to the SteamWorld series of games, and a delightful experience from beginning to end. I can happily recommend this to both fans of RPGs and fans of the strategy inherent to collectible card games. The fine folks at Image & Form Games should be proud of what they've created in SteamWorld Quest, and I look forward to giving other games in the series a try.

While not a fully deep experience for those familiar to the genre, Image & Form's first attempt at a card-based RPG still pays off in spades with a satisfying gameplay hook and journey that oozes with colorful charm.
It's a game (and franchise) that wears its indie credentials on its sleeve, and it's hard to be too disappointed by its flaws for that reason.
SteamWorld Quest can best be described as an RPG that's both simple and in-depth, a game that features a marvelous visual presentation with its detailed environments and finely designed characters, as well as a fun and original cards gameplay system that delivers a more than welcome variety to the Nintendo Switch catalogue and which deserves to be played by every RPG fan out there.

GREAT - SteamWorld Quest is a wonderful card-battling RPG that features slick graphics, wonderful music, and easy to understand combat mechanics. Even if you typically avoid these types of games you should give this one a shot. Its charming characters and fun strategic gameplay are sure to keep you coming back for more.
The weakest of the recent SteamWorld games but still an enjoyable, if rather unfair, mix of role-playing game and card-battler.
An excellent RPG and an excellent card game that mixes both genres to create a unique experience that will entertain you durin almost 20 hours despite it's not specially varied outside its cards.
