To that end, it's more charitable to see One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows as more of a Hero Association RPG than a fully qualified fighting game. You won't be seeing it on the main stage at EVO anytime soon, but you can at least have a fun few hours raising your own hero.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a game with good ideas that unfortunately fails to capture the essence of the original anime with its monotonous gameplay and concepts executed in a way that leaves much to be desired.

A video game from an amazing anime series is not necessarily an amzing game and One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is an exact example of it. The fighting system and some features of the game is satisfying, but the main problem is so repetitive gameplay and also technical graphics issues. If you love saitama you will enjoy the game, but you should know that its not the game that matches the quality of One punch man anime series.

Being the titular One-Punch Man is fun, but the rest of A Hero Nobody Knows' repetitious fighting/action game hybrid is lackluster.

For those that simply want to experience One Punch Man as a part of the narrative, there's no better alternative than A Hero Nobody Knows, even if it would fall apart were it not for One Punch Man's recognizable heroes reminding players what universe they're in.

One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a great fighting game, but its open levels need more work when it comes to the voice acting and animations.

In One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, becoming a hero for fun isn't all it's cracked up to be. Saitama is a hilariously game breaking gimmick that pays off in single-player, but online he only leads to frustration. Elsewhere, the main story mode has plenty to do, but there's not much variety. Fans will mostly enjoy the writing and the fighting, but newcomers might be left wanting.

Fans of the anime will be overjoyed by the sheer amount of playable characters, both hero and monster favourites from the first season are here.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is more ambitious than it needed to be, to its own detriment. While the main missions and combat are very enjoyable, forced, lacklustre side content spoils the pacing and makes the game tedious to play. Still very fun for the right fan, but not without a sale.

If you are a fan of One Punch Man you'll probably get a kick out of A Hero Nobody Knows but don't expect it to keep you playing long. For every minute of brilliance there is an hour of grinding to go along with it, and that's trying even for the most dedicated fans of the Caped Baldy.

Overall though, its flaws make it hard for those ideas to shine, and hold the game back from being anything other than an offering for die-hard “One Punch Man” fans to dig their teeth into.

A good combat system alone is not enough to make One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows a real hit.

Although it's super clunky and very unpolished, there's a weird charm to One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. It may not satisfy brawler aficionados or hardcore OPM fanatics, but it should amuse those who want to experience life as a flamboyant superhero.

As fans of One-Punch Man, in any case, in the new license licensed by Bandai Namco you will find a lot of fanservice with pleasure, from the characterization of a rather large roster to the reconstruction of a crackling universe.

Despite the weird performance hitches in some spots and the game feeling a bit clunky at times, I am having one hell of a good time with the game.

One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows may please some fans of the overpowered warrior, but the repetitive campaign missions, formulaic fighting mechanics, and underwhelming presentation will limit the appeal of this fighting game.

Unfortunately, we are facing a completely forgettable game. With a story mode that has many pacing problems, the experience becomes annoying really fast. It may be enjoyed by anime fans.
