Bayonetta 2 is surprising. Some of that is because it is an M-rated Wii U exclusive. It's also because it is a good game in a genre that doesn't seem long for this world. With everything moving open-world and online, Platinum is still sticking to it's area of expertise. And it's working.
Even if offered on its own, Bayonetta 2 could be easily considered the best action of the year, as well as one of the best games of the year period. When grouped with the first game, the whole package is almost too good to be true.
Bayonetta 2 is a great continuation of a series many thought would be dead. Thanks to Nintendo swooping in to help, we have another wonderfully outrageous action game that fans and newcomers alike can enjoy.
Bayonetta 2 is a solid game. It utilizes a simple yet interesting combo system, the visuals are gorgeous as they highlight your attacks and the enemies you battle, and the music and sound effects are top notch too. Although gameplay can be repetitive it still can be fun.
Bayonetta 2 for the Switch hasn't disappointed us on any part. Without exaggeration, this is the rawest gameplay you can find on a small device. The game is as good as it is that it's over-the-top! Dante (from Devil May Cry) is better off giving up, as the eyes are on Bayonetta 3.

The fact that there aren’t a lot of changes made or new content in Bayonetta 2 on Switch doesn’t stop it from being one of the finest action titles available on Nintendo’s newest console.

Overall, Bayonetta 2 was a classic for the Wii U and guess what, it’s still a classic for the Nintendo Switch. If you didn’t have the fortune (or misfortune, I guess) of owning a Wii U, this is the perfect chance to catch up with the series. It’s a game that deserves to be played by more people and hopefully will. As far as all-action games go this is definitely top tier and is unlikely to be beaten anytime soon, at least not until Bayonetta 3 is released. If you’re into action games, this is completely essential.
Bayonetta 2 is an amazing action game with a heap of content and tremendous added value, further provided by, for example, songs, artwork and other materials you collect in it. The authors improved the quality unit in every way, expanded the story and, above all, preserved a great dynamic action that still takes its breath away.

Bayonetta 2 is one of the best games to ever grace the Wii U. The sequel feels tighter, less obnoxious, and is a blast to play through.
It's not perfect and the nostalgia goggles are likely affecting my memories of the first game but Bayonetta 2 is still a great time and better than pretty much any other action game out there.

It's a downright shame that not many will play this game due to the small install base of the Wii U, but here's hoping that Bayonetta 2 will be a system seller to get the appreciation it definitely deserves.
Bayonetta 2 is a perfect choice to port over to the Nintendo Switch. The eclectic action and story is a treat on its own, but it's amazing how great it looks and plays when in handheld mode.
Still one if the best action games around, with a unique look all if its own, and the ability to play it on the go makes it one of the best releases of the year.

Bayonetta is one of the best series of the hack and slash genre and this port is true to the Wii U versions with some small improvements. It is a good version for new players or for fans who want to remember the action of these games anywhere.

Bayonetta 2 remains a niche title that will annoy some and be loved by others. Some of its mechanics have been left untouched from the original game, and, most importantly, it's pretty much the same deal all over again... and yet, this remains one of the finest specimens of hack 'n' slash-y, brawling fun...now on its perfect home: Nintendo Switch.
Bayonetta 2 was a pleasant surprise for me as a Wii U gamer going through a bit of a drought. It sucked me into a realm of beautifully crafted battles, enormous personality, and just plain sexy character design. Bayonetta 2 was charming, and just a little bit naughty. It is an absolute must have for the Wii U, and I would dare say it is one of the top Wii U titles available for the platform.
