Captain Toad is a cute little dude, but he is no baby. His quest full of danger and discovery can be enjoyed by anyone in search of a few dozen great puzzles. Not much has changed here, but that includes Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker being a must-play.
Everything about Captain Toad is overwhelmingly charming. The soundtrack is solid, with plenty of levels having their own unique themes, as well as a few with familiar tunes from previous games in the Mario franchise thrown in for good measure
If you're a fan of puzzle/platformer games, then Captain Toad on Switch comes highly recommended. Recruit a friend for even more fun. Just makes sure they're ready for an adventure!

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker highlights one of the best secondary characters in the Super Mario universe, and gives him a stellar adventure. Fans of the Wii U version should pick it up for the portable experience and extra levels while those who didn't play the game in 2014 will find a lot to love. It's another fantastic addition to the continually growing Switch library, and I can't wait to see what Nintendo does with Captain Toad in the future. I had a blast with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Hopefully, this is not the last time we see the titular hero. He can easily go on more adventures, and I'd love to be along for every single one of them.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a great little puzzle platformer that fits perfectly into the handheld side of the Switch's capabilities. Despite the rare awkward control issue while in TV mode and the slight feeling of repetitiveness that can appear near the end, the creative 'Hakoniwa' sandbox-style levels are all beautifully crafted and fun to explore. Charming music, bright and colourful visuals and references to past and future Mushroom Kingdom moments make this spin-off title a fantastic addition to your Switch's gaming library.

Despite some missed opportunities that Nintendo could have latched onto, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a game that shouldn't be missed for anyone looking for a relaxed mental challenge.
It's been four years since the original release of Captain Toad, and yet, the game still feels as wonderfully unique as it did then. There's nothing else quite like it, and the Switch version looks and plays wonderfully. The overall experience is a short one, but there's plenty of replayability, and it's an experience that any Switch owner should jump on.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is much closer to a port than an enhanced version like we’ve seen with other Wii U titles. However, those who haven’t played it are better off getting one of the new releases, since those also offer portability. Since the levels are short, it is the perfect title to pick up and play. Despite the flaws, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker still might be one of the best puzzle-action game for Switch.
