Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Reviews
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a conflicted game. It's one part phenomenal sniping experience and one part clunky, run-of-the-mill third-person shooting gallery full of awful AI. If you're able to overlook its glaring faults, there's fun to be derived from its attention to realism in its sniping and its brilliant bullet cam gore, but overall, the one's best left in the past.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a good remaster of an average third-person shooter
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is an inconsistent remaster and stealth action experience, but those slow motion executions are as satisfying as ever. Its arcade-like scoring system with short missions also encourages improving previous runs.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered brings a classic into the modern age. There are plenty of new bells and whistles, but the core gameplay and design remain the same. For better and worse.
It's fortunate that the series' brutal kill-cam's and strategic emphasis in gameplay persist here, as it's clear that V2 Remastered is far from complete a package the "remastered" brand might suggest.
Still and if you're desperate for sniping on the go…then Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is perhaps your only choice. Plus, it does feature all of the title's DLC. I would, however, wait for a price drop and/or enter with lowered expectations.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is enjoyable, if only you were a new fan of this series. As an avid fan, I feel like this remaster could have done a better job.

Sniper Elite V2 gets a remaster but the changes might be as easy to spot as a sniper in a ghillie suit.
SEV2R is a title that I could happily recommend to anyone new to the tactical sniping genre, or anyone looking for a little nostalgia after 5 years of having dabbled with the original.
niper Elite V2 Remastered undoubtedly feels old. And from time to time you encounter the odd issue that could do with being polished out.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is one of the best options for fans of sniper games, specially if you didn't play the original game. It is a valuable remastered game, graphically and technically. X Ray Kill-Cam is still amazing and the high quality in "simulating shooting with an sniper", made Sniper Elite V2 Remastered a good choice to play. There are still issues like weak and unbalanced A.I or not so good story-telling, but in the end Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a game that we can recommend it to you if you are looking for a nice and challenging sniper-stealth game.

Whether Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is for you or not depends on what you really want out of it.
Despite a graphical upgrade, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered shows its age in almost every way — but that doesn't mean it's not a good time.
There isn’t anything really bad about Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, but there also isn’t anything that’s particularly good either.
Overall, the game's remaster is average at best, and the only demographic that will truly be interested in it is the one that grew up with the original and want to relive their glory days sniping Nazis, zombies, and Nazi zombies.
Elite sniper Karl Fairburne is back but too exhausted. Even with all DLC content and 4k resolution.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered has dated gameplay that’s a stark reminder at how much the series has improved with Sniper Elite 3 and Sniper Elite 4. When examining this game as a purely standalone experience, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a solid game that benefits from improved visuals and a way for those who haven’t experienced this series with a better way of doing so. This game’s influence is one to be remembered, and is captured so well with this remaster.
Sniper Elite v2 Remastered is from its technical point of view a well made second part of a series, which managed to achieve through little adjustements a lot of depth and established himself in the videogame landscape. Even though the remaster misses many of the advantages of his successors and its linearity can be a little bit boring, interested new entrants and Fans, who are searching for a little snack until Sniper Elite 5, should give it a buy.

Whilst not the best Sniper Elite game in the franchise, Sniper Elite V2 is certainly worth a look at if you’ve not played it before or have fond memories of it. The remaster has done wonders to the games visuals, pushing the resolution along with various enhancements to the lighting, shadows and textures – it’s never looked so pretty! Not only that, with the addition of a performance mode (I was playing on the PS4 Pro so I’m not sure of this on other models), the gameplay swaps from a solid 30fps to a buttery smooth 60fps at the blink of an eye. There’s just something therapeutic about sniping down Nazis in 60fps, watching their innards crumble in slow motion…
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered has fleeting moments of brilliance, marred by some older genre tropes that show the original game's age.
