Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled Reviews
In 1999, Crash Team Racing was a lot of fun. 20 years later, it's still a lot of fun. Nitro-fueled is a faithful recreation with some meaningful additions that I'll be revisiting frequently for years to come.
Hardcore CTR fans and those looking for a surprisingly-stiff challenge should give Nitro-Fueled a shot, but others might find it runs out of gas surprisingly quick.
The title is recommended for all speed lovers, it has been modernized very well and is more fun if played with friends, an ambitious project and curated by various pluses such as fun cheats to be used in arcade mode and the recent Grand Prix mode.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is definitely a great remake. A product cared for in every detail that keeps the soul of that CTR that we liked so much as children. Unfortunately time passes, although 20 years ago CTR was an original title, today it is not. The work of Beenox is very valuable and they tried to update the formula, where possible, at best but did not keep up with the main competitor Mario Kart. Some aspects and tracks have aged badly. CTR Nitro Fueled is still a great product and above all it remains in our hearts. I am delighted to be able to retrace my memories by going back to when I used to gas myself by hitting someone with a bomb.

Crash is back (again) in this marvelous tribute to one of the PS1 era’s most memorable games and more. It goes beyond what could be expected from a remaster and fans are sure to be coming back for more content when it is released.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is a great Kart racing game with a difficult learning curve. It suffers from some minor technical issues on the Nintendo Switch but overall, it is a solid port that plays beautifully on the hardware.
The game is very distinctive and the revival of a great Kart classic is well crafted ,online problems are what bother the experience and some other simple technical problems

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is an adorable and charming trip down memory lane, packed full of challenging content for the most dedicated players while still being accessible and fun for the whole family.
Nitro-Fueled gives Crash Team Racing a much-needed visual facelift while keeping the first-rate kart racing mechanics intact. The small amount of single player content doesn't give you much to do by yourself, but the healthy helping of multiplayer modes and unforgiving AI provide plenty of reasons to keep you coming back.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a fun and complex kart racer. Boasting mechanics that are now genre standards, CTR's return shows just how relevant it still is. With additional features to fit into modern times like difficulty settings and graphics, this is a must-have for fans of the original, and for anyone who enjoys kart racing with friends.
Overall, I enjoyed Crash Team Racing. Racing karts can be brutal, but fun. Adventure modes boss battles feel a tad bit unfair though. As each boss seems to have a gimmick that no ordinary kart racer usually has. Take Ripper Roo for example, who’s extremely fast and has unlimited TNT.
I’m not going to mince words. This game is fantastic. Even with minor annoyances, I still had a fantastic time. There might not be more than two options for controls. There is every racetrack from both Crash Team Racing and Crash Nitro Kart, beautifully recreated in 4K resolution for the current generation. The rubberbanding might be annoying, but the races are so fun that I didn’t care for long. If you don’t like kart racers, this game might not change your mind. If you do like them, you should definitely give Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled a try, especially if you were a fan of the original. It takes what’s great about Crash Bandicoot and puts it into the kart racing genre.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is an excellent remake of a kart-racing classic, introducing the beloved PS1 mascot to an entire new generation of players. However, this might be a little too difficult for younger gamers, so they’d be better off jumping on easy mode.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled not only succeeds as a loving and faithful adaptation of the classic PS1 release, but it has been turbo-boosted by a glut of welcome new content including characters, tracks, and modes. Though it occasionally shows its age in course design, and erratically pumps the brakes with a surprising difficulty spike, Nitro-Fueled remains a fast and fun kart racer, sure to please old fans and worthy of a test drive from new ones.
Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is really an excellent title: it performs and embodies its “raison d'etre” very well. It is a worthy "boosted version" of the original chapter from which it inherits almost everything, even its negative aspects.

However, the fact that the racing is fast, frantic, and fun just reminds me that Activision and Beenox have done a great thing by bringing back Crash Team Racing, and I plan on continuing to enjoy it for as long as I can.
With upto 4 player local splitscreen enabling frantic racing and battling as well as the chance to take the racing online, there is enough to keep you entertained for a long long time, while enjoying the resurrection of all things Bandicoot. Beenox has definitely smashed it with this remaster. Now c’mon Activision, bring us Tony Hawks! Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled receives the prestigious Thumb Culture Platinum Trophy!
