It's simply the best version of a great game, and even if the changes are marginal, that still stands.
Dark Souls: Remastered is not the definitive version of the game, but it's close enough.
Much like going back to play Ocarina of Time, you’re witnessing the foundations of many modern games here. And some pieces of magic that no other game – even a Souls game – have managed to replicate since.
A well aged fantasy/horror action RPG, that even those who have never played before should definitely give a chance. Don't be scared off by the stories of how difficult it is. (Though also know, those stories are true.)
Dark Souls Remastered is a good reminder how far we've come in the last seven years.
Dark Souls Remastered keeps the original feelings with advanced graphics performance, which gives many players a chance to try this game on the latest console. But obviously 60 dollars is way too much for a remastered game that almost changes nothing, some old fans may think this edition is lack of sincerity.

Dark Souls Remastered is a solid reminder of the incredible strength of the original entry in the series. There are certainly some comforts lost by going back the start but the game is still incredible. Whether you have never played it before or you miss the good old days, this is a great remaster.

Dark Souls Remastered shows that just as the extra visual definition giveth, it also taketh away.
Dark Souls Remastered is the best version for Dark Souls on consoles, and it's still one of the best Action-RPG of all time. The 60fps framerate is a real pleasure, as the other technical improvements too. We would have prefered a real remake, but it's still a very good way to (re)discover the series.

If you've played Dark Souls before then there isn't really anything in this version of the game that makes for a compelling reason to part with your cash. The term ‘Remastered' implies that a great amount of work has gone into this release, and although it's a definite improvement – especially with regards to the frame rate – it isn't extraordinary.
Dark Souls Remastered is exactly what the name implies and fans will adore it.
Dark Souls was a brilliant game in 2011, and it is still a brilliant game in 2018.
For those who are already fans of the series, Dark Souls Remastered is just a polished version of an already great game, but for me, it was a bit more special. With the technical issues eliminated, Dark Souls can shine and is a much more satisfying experience.
Dark Souls Remastered is exactly how good ol’ Dark Souls is, but now all decked out in all its enhanced visual glory. It’s the perfect welcome for old fans, and the best way to experience the unforgiving world of Lordran for newer players. Oh, and you’ll still die.
The controls, the level design, and the lore all feel like precise expressions of the developers' complete vision. Yet I must attach that age-old caveat: this game will remorselessly kick your ass, leaving you hardly a heartbeat before the boot comes whistling your way again.
Improvements are quite marginal, despite the considerable boost for framerate and resolution, but Dark Souls remains a game design masterpiece even seven years after its publication.

Dark Souls: Remastered on Nintendo Switch might not be the prettiest or best-performing version, but that doesn’t hold back what it manages to achieve. Bringing handheld portability to the series, this is the version of Dark Souls: Remastered most worth considering for those wishing to return to its untold stories and unforgiving fights.
Dark Souls: Remastered offers almost the same experience as the original game, and with some well-designed changes you can enjoy it like never before. Although maybe the developers should have changed a bit more.
