Batman: The Enemy Within - Episode 3 Reviews
A little better than The Pact in some ways and a lot worse in many others, Fractured Mask feels as if Telltale Games just wants to "get it over with," and, as a result, just churns out another uninteresting chapter, where nothing really seems to ever happen.
A slow episode that shows that many of the game's characters don't have a long shelf life. Hopefully episode four can right the ship.
Episode 3 of Batman: The Enemy Within adequately follows through with some earlier plot points, but it doesn't do much else.
Batman's third episode from season two does enough to keep the overall story ticking over, but a crowded narrative and confusing relationships mean this is the low point so far. Episode four will have to do much better.
Although there is some excellent work put in by Catwoman and John Doe, Fractured Mask is ultimately just a series of "Choose A or B" conversations, taking place in overly-familiar locales, with stakes not quite as high as the game would have you believe. With only two episodes remaining, it's going to take something special to kick this story into high gear for the climax. It certainly isn't impossible; even when the chips are down, you can always bet on Bat.
With "Fractured Mask," Telltale Games offers a satisfying third episode. Bruce "Batman" Wayne has a lot on his plate and its getting harder and harder for him to please everybody without blowing his cover and revealing his secret identity. Unfortunately for non-English speakers, the game wouldn't start with French subtitles enabled.

There is no interesting plot, deep characters and villains. And all the cult heroes look bleak and naive.

With only two episodes left, Telltale needs to raise the stakes and ramp up the urgency of Batman's mission.
This episode drags the momentum of this second season down a bit, so if you haven't already been playing The Enemy Within, I'd wait on picking it up until the full season ends to see if the final two episodes can make up for this rather boring third one.
Due to poor dialogues, not necessarily complicated plot and the game being too easy; The third episode of Batman: The Enemy Withing is deeply troubled. Although the gorgeous comic graphics and good characterization of Joker and Bruce Wayne still saves the whole experience somehow.

A returning character turns Episode 3 of Telltale's Batman: The Enemy Within AKA Broken Mask into an action packed and tense period in the series.
This isn't the worst or the best of the one and a half seasons of Batman that Telltale Games has provided us. It's good, but not great as the story itself feels as though it is setting us up for the last half of this season, but thankfully this is not one of those episodes that just treads water and completely stalls out the plot in favor of some new character introductions.
There is a lot to juggle with two episodes to go, and there promises to be plenty of heartbreak along the way.
Fractured Mask takes the story to a new direction by representing Catwoman and focusing more on Batman's role. The only downside is that the choices from previous episode aren't really in effect here and one might feel that this will continue in the future episodes too.

Fractured Mask hits the ground running from the very start. Its main story elements march along to a respectable beat to deliver an entertaining third chapter.
Episode 3: Fractured Mask doesn't quite hit the same highs as its immediate predecessor, but the tangled web that Telltale's cast in Batman: The Enemy Within is getting increasingly intriguing with each episode. This particular instalment may pump the brakes slightly in order to include necessary setup for the impending finale, but it feels meaningful, and the scenes with Selina and Bruce are particularly engaging.
If they can trust themselves to focus on the stronger points like this romance and not sell out to hit some punches thrown quota, this season could feel uniquely different than other Batman stories.
Rebounding from a weak second episode, Batman: The Enemy Within's third episode restores my hopes that this season will turn out well. Major developments around Batman's big secret and strong interactions with Harley Quinn, Selina Kyle, and John make Fractured Mask work, right up until the extremely abrupt ending.
The episode three of Batman: The Enemy Within seems a real link to the first chapter of the saga, using some themes and characters that have fallen into oblivion and which now come back with force.

Fractured Mask was a great episode with plenty of character moments I loved. But my favourite thing about the episode was ending it, realising there are two episodes left and I really can't see the direction the story is heading -- which is exciting.
