While things could have been better if the final moments had been allowed to last a little longer, this ending feels satisfyingly enough because of the emotions it conveys, and that is a commendable effort for a final season that's seen its fair share of development hell.

The Walking Dead: The Last Season leaves us with contradictory sentiments. In general, the episode concludes Clementine's parable in a rather dignified manner, although some scenes are really not very inspired. If you overlook the sequences of the first part of the episode, you arrive at an ending that has its undoubtedly exciting moments, and finds in the relationship between the girl and AJ her highest point.

A glaring (and boring) example of how you shouldn't finish a much loved and longtime series.

If you’ve been playing the series all along up until now, it goes without saying that you should play it to the end, and the good news is that when you do you won’t be disappointed. And of course, unless you’re a brain-dead zombie you know what’s coming and you know that you better be prepared for feels by the bucketload.

Take Us Back, the franchise finale of The Walking Dead, is a serviceable episode to end the series, and in a way, Telltale Games in general. While it has the problem of falling into its familiar issues at times, the sendoff of Clementine and her friends is one that will be remembered for years to come.

After a turbulent production, Clementine and The Walking Dead series have both been given the ending they deserve. Not all of Take Us Back lands smoothly, but the finale remains true to the tone of this season and delivers a satisfying conclusion that fans will be talking about for years to come.

Take Us Back wraps up Clementine and AJ's story in a satisfying way, developing both characters and making sure the conclusion is worth sticking around for. Getting to finally put Clementine's story to rest is a doozy.

An action-packed, if anticlimactic, close to Clementine's journey.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Episode 4: Take Us Back is an amazing finale to the Clementine, AJ and a group of surviving teenagers story with a possible basis for the continuation.

Although it lacks the polish of the previous episode, The Walking Dead Final Season Episode 4 brings Clementine's story to an end with a strong sense of closure.

As a singular episode, it’s fine. But in the grander scheme of wrapping up a six-year storyline and four-episode arc, it’s also just fine and that middle of the road result is a bit of a disappointment.

A decent ending to a tormented adventure.

Thankfully, the final episode delivers a sendoff worthy of Clementine's arduous and emotional journey. Beautiful and tragic often at once, and thematically tight, "Take Us Back" is a finale the team can be proud of as they move to whatever is next, and the fans can cherish as the story comes to its end.

Clementine and AJ's - and by extension, the player's - story comes to a fitting end here, as the creative efforts of Skybound and Telltale bring the story of the beloved series to its satisfying, largely open-ended conclusion. A plethora of emotional punches, varied and surprisingly engaging gameplay - even if the frame rate chugs - accompany wonderful music and impressive cinematography. Despite a couple of narrative hiccups, with one or two scenes that would have benefitted from some retooling, the conclusion to Telltale's most beloved series is not just good, it's satisfying.

Take Us Back is a well-constructed but ineffective conclusion to Telltale's The Walking Dead series.

I appreciated the way that the lid finally closed on the Telltale’s The Walking Dead, and the decision to wrap everything up in just four episodes felt, to me at least, the right choice to make. While collective distractions and over-saturated plot lines can seem all too familiar with the franchise as a whole, to finally see the nail hammered into the coffin on a strong note is a far braver achievement made when compared to its peers.

A stirring, if conservative conclusion to Telltale's The Walking Dead, 'Still Not Bitten' provides fans with a gritty and grisly closer with an ending that hints at what might have been.
